Ohai everybody.
When setting up a tactic, should I try to adapt/train my players into their roles/duties, or should I adapt the tactics after my players best duties?

Like, for example, my CBs are best as Central Defenders with Defend as their best duty, but I what if I wanted to play with a Stopper and a Cover instead as duties? Should I train my CBs as Stoppers/Covers, or should I instead try to adapt the tactic so I can use my CBs with Defend as duty?

Depends on your club, if you can afford to bring in anyone you like, you can play however you like. Generally, the answer is a mix of both you want a tactic, which has good tactical synergy, but suits your team, so use a Stopper-Cover if you have the players for it. But don't play a Deeplying Striker if your only striker is Zigic. On the other end of the scale, don't play 4 defensive mids if just by chance your squads starts like this as you would have no synergy at all. It's all a case of a tight balance and trying to get it right.
