Player was citizen now this has changed?

I am currently playing with zenit st petersburg and my midfielder danny became a citizen of russia and the 'FGN' wasn't next to his name anymore but now is could someone explain why?

Not 100% sure on this, but I think theres a status like "residing in country" which I believe means, is waiting for all paper-work etc to be cleared. Give it a month.

it said waiting on paper work then got a message saying that he has chosen to take citizenship in russia because it would help me out with the foreign players rule. thanks though..
