Players Age?

Just a quick question if I adit a players age will it actually affect them? Ie. You can edit a players date of birth so if you make them old will they retire? and if you make them younger will it stop them from retiring?

That's an interesting question actually.

I imagine not, however it may have an affect on whether they gain any more attributes, or gain less than they would or something, as different players peak at different times. So I wonder, if a player hit their peak at 27 years old or so, attribute-wise, and you rewound their age to 23'ish, would you then get a load more attribute gains to help reach their potential, until they hit 27 (again) ?

Hmm, wish I had the patience to test this.

I think they'd still have the same potential ability, but just reach it faster due to age.
 
Their potential would still be there, yup. What I am curious about, is if a player hits their peak, can they hit it again, if you rewind their age? Or would the game recognise that he has already hit his peak, and therefore decent attribute gains would not happen anymore.
 
Basically, yeah. Though I'm not sure I would have said Makelele as my example.
 
Does anyone know if its affects the players atall then in regard to retirement?
 
I imagine they won't retire if you lower their age.
 
If you put a 34 year old player to 16 years old, his ability will rise and will re-hit his peak, but as soon as he hits his early/mid 30s again his stats and ability will star to lower.
