Hey guys,

Finally got FM2011 last week, but now I have an issue:

I'm playing with Ajax and I have hired the best available training staf and done a normal season preparation, but yet after the first few games of the season most of my players do not get any fitter than 83-85% in a normal sunday-wednesday-sunday game routine.

Is this normal? I've played most previous FM games and never had this problem so early in the season. I've googled quiet a bit, but couldn't really find anything, except for one rumour that it might be a bug. I'm playing version 11.1

Please help me out here. THNX

ive wondered myself too why its like this, i mean these are people who this for living but they cant run 90 minutes once or twice a week. my cat has more stamina than these lazy bums

I have not noticed this at all mate, it is not a bug, the only thing that it could be is that you have either made your own training schedules or downloaded one that has most of the schedules set at high, try manually going in to the schedules and turning them down a bit (even if they are on medium, just take them down a notch for the time being until you see an improvement)

try and rest your players after a big game, I give my main stars who are about 73% after a big game a 2 or 3 day rest from training, try do this for your main players like Suarez and Al Hamdoui etc etc

it definitely sounds as though the training schedule is too heavy, do you still have them on pre-season training?

the other explanation would be low stamina, but for a team like Ajax one would assume that wouldn't be so (unlike me with my part-timers :P)

Reducing the strength/aero training is the most likely solution as they are the most energy sapping of the disciplines...

Another aspect to affect this is your game tactics. I have noticed very large differences to fitness levels at the end of the game when changing tactics.

i.e. if you get your players to close down the opposition all over the pitch and ask them to hassle opponents etc., they will use a lot more energy than closing down rarely. Look carefully at your tactics as well as training schedules, player stamina and natural fitness.
