Players Out of Position With Tactics

I am in my second season with Sunderland, and now I have made a brand new team. Last season I played a relatively simple 442, however my signings were instead on plain old left mid right mid centre mid, they're all attacking left attaciking centres, and my Assistant say only gives them 2 1/2 stars, whereas playing them as atacking mid there around 3 1/2 4s, some even higher.

What I wanted to do was have a formation, that can facilitate

But one that works

or alteratively some one to confirm that my players are going to play just as well in left mid as they would in attacking left.

You can try retraining your players into a new position and when they play in that position too then they will improve.
