Is there anyway to ask a player to reconsider retirement? I know there's an option for Internationals but can't find one for clubs. Please help, my star GK has just announced and I need him for at least another season.
 
I dont think there is mate, maybe just try offering him a new contract
what age is he ? keepers usually play till theyre about 40 lol
 
Well he signed one a couple of weeks back for an extra year but now changed his mind.

He's 41 lol. I know he's old but he's still performing well, got the second best defence in the league and just won last two games 7-0!

I have a back-up but he's only 1 and a half stars. Guess I'll just have to try and find a replacement.

nah theres no option, if you offer him a new contract and he wont enter negotiations they you pretyy much screwed.. need to get gk hunting very soon..

Sounds like your caught by the short ones. I usualy try to have at 2 GK's as good as each-other (especially if one is 35+) to cover for injuries or this kind situation.
 
i have kuszchak (spl) and i might be able to get lloris at end of season but VDS has been superb

Ive always been a fan of Lloris (being Irish Ive seen him at his best against us) but he might cost ya an arm and a leg. Leon always seem to want 30-40 million for him.

Yeah, VDS seems to play far better than his attributes suggest. Never played as United but i hatted coming up against him.

I'm luck With my Liverpool saves that I have Reina, I can usually get 10-13 season out of him and Genk (feeder club) seem to churn out great young keepers so I have first option to buy when I need to replace him.
