Is there any example of players stepping up when promotions occur (e.g like Grant Holy, Rickie Lambert IRL). I know PA is fixed, but can a decent CA increase occur between seasons? E.g a player experience an increase in stats between seasons when a promotion has occurred for an already (presumably) developed player.

Depends on his age and current training, you may get a very slight increase but nothing major across one or all aspects of his game, Lambert and Holt didnt really improve as players in the premier league, more so had better morale and run of form, same for Sturridge at the start of FM, when all the liverpool fans were crying out his stats were low, he was still as good as he is but it was his form and consistancy early season as he was getting a run of games at Liverpool, he didnt just became a world class striker over the summer despite what they'll tell you. :)

I've talked with some guys in the forum during fm12 about variable CA if a player standout an entire year, like you said.

We get to the conclusion that that variation was FM13...

So, if a player get pretty well and wins a promotion IRL, we will have to wait until FM15 to see if it was just a from pick or the player developed real well and deserves the boost in CA and PA.

Thats pretty much a given though, if a player goes up with a team, and doesnt improve invariably by the time the next FM is out he has been sold coz he cant cut it at that level. Same for the increase in the opposite, not doubt the stats guys will add a point or two here and there coz hes a ".... insert league level.. " player now..
