But Liverpool don't have so much money in their first season, so you can either ask the board for more money and/or sell some players and go for either Doumbia who's awesome or maybe M'baye Niang who becomes even more awesome when he's older, because you'll definitely need one more striker in your club. I'd actually go for both if I could lol because both of them are great players, so it's up to you what to decide. Though I think you'll still have the issue of a decent right winger, so because of the small amount of cash to spend in the first season, you could have a rocky start. Now you can either use Kuyt, Maxi, Gerrard and Henderson on the right, but because Kuyt and Maxi are getting older and Stevie and Hendo play better in central midfield, you can get a good young winger like Juniot Hoilett, plus you have Sterling coming as one of the best players to ever come out of the Liverpool academy. And last, but not least, a player who you should keep an eye on for the next season is Lucas Moura from Sao Paolo. He's a young Brazilian player who can play as an attacking midfielder and a left winger. You'll need him after Bellers' pasts his peak and you can even rotate him with Downing. He's my highest recommended player for a team like Liverpool.

Honestly mate just look at the wonderkid thread the problem with this years football manager and this forum in particular is every single person reccomends the same players Niang, Fierro, Ganso, Ter Stegen, Vrsaljiko, Neymar, Cavani, Gotze etc etc im surprised the hardcore forum members enjoy football manager when they sign the same players every single save!!! Deep Breath rant over lol

I'd advise you to get cover for Lucas, you'll miss him a lot if he gets injured, which he did for me in the first season. Don't know if you consider this value for money given his age, but I got Gattuso of Milan for 2.5 mill

I suggest you Mulumbu or Diame as cover for Lucas, because Gattuso wages are very high. I also bought Montolivo who has been really good as central midfielder. I got him for 6-7mio

sold lucas 35 million lol then got mulumbu and that french lad from Lens heading into second season first place hope for a lot better budget after winning the league and champions league place hoping for quarters min

I didnt make any signings in my first transfer period. Cleared out fringe players like kuyt, maxi, cole, aqualani etc then proved to my board i was a good manager by a strong start to the season then asked for money in january and with players i sold as well i had around 25-30 mil if i remember correctly and bought cavani for the clinical finisher and loaned out carroll so he gained confidence with a lesser team and got more game time. Came 3rd in my first season and won FA cup and my board gave me 30mil second season BTW HENDERSON IS EPIC... DO NOT SELL. Scored 14 goals last season on the right wing which is epic considering her mid 20's
