Hello there,

two of my players kept arguing with me because they wanted to move to a bigger team. After dozends of motivation drops after each rejection of their demands, I decided to give it up and told them I would let them go at the end of the season.

Now the end of the season is there and I am wondering about how to get them off. I tried setting them to not needed and transfer listed them - no offers.

I tried offering them to other clubs but I only got non-negotiable offers below their current value which I think is very underrated and I'm not willing to let them go at that price. An adequate replacement would cost much more.

So two questions :

1) What happens if I keep them due to lack of better offers ? Will they lose all motivation and only perform poorly then ?

2) How can you get other clubs to make realistic offers ? There are many big clubs like Rome, Milan or Liverpool with big interest in the players, and there are messages about transfer interest rumors from these clubs every few weeks. Still they only make non-negotiable, very low offers. And ideas / clues on how to generate a realistic transfer price ?

Thanks...

Dropping the price is a last resort to selling a player so you may have to do that, if they stay they might resolve there problems, may I ask who the players are?

Ok, that didn't really matter to me in any way lol ;) I would offer 1m less than their value and if no one bids for them, keep them, and play them non stop :)

Every time i have agreed to sell a player in this situation they always 'forget' about it when we have come to the next transfer window. Sometimes they even kick off when i transfer list them saying that i am trying to force them out of the club when only 3 months previous it was them who was asking to leave.
Everyone i have transfer listed has always been sold around their value or maybe a couple of mill above but thats it. I do know what you mean though because i have a quality player i bought for £32.5mil and after a brilliant season the highest bids i am getting for him are only £25mil maximum.

I always tell them i think the club can move on to bigger things and i want them to be part of it, or whatever it is.

Has never failed me for some reason, the players always back down and start being normal again.

Yes, they back down, but their motivation drops to zero and they play very bad the next few games...
Never mind, I sold the keeper for his value at the end (4M €) and loaned Kiko to Tottenham with a buying option around 2M € above his value.

When you offer them to a team, untick the transfer list player box. They are offering under the value because they are transfer listed. Most transfer listed players you get for cheaper. Try doing it that way. Usually you get double their valuation.

I think it's random. One thing for sure though, there will be more clubs making offers if you transfer-listed them. Agger not performing well for me so I tried checking his value by offering him to clubs without transfer-listed him. Only 1 club make the offer almost double his value (though doesnt met my asking price). When I did transfer-list him, there are about 2 or 3 clubs interested but I dont know why, once a club make an offer for my player, the 'offer to clubs' option didnt work anymore. Wished I transferlisted him in the first place so that I will get more offers.

Might just be random them, every time I offer him when transfer listed they offer for less than the players valuation. Once I have him un-listed, they offer quite a bit.
