Players won't enter talks.

Ok, so I've started a save with Southampton and I'm trying to make a few signings. however, there is a problem. Every time I agree a fee, players agents refuse to enter talks the majority of the time. i know this could just be due to the fact I'm a championship team but it's happened so many times now it's ridiculous. Can anyone shed any light? Cheers.

You just don't have enough rep for them to consider you. Basically you're targeting players who don't believe you can offer them a decent contract.

i had similar thing then i realised that there was a tab near the top of the box, cant remember what it is called but there are two choices. i clicked the one that wasnt selected and all of sudden i could make contract offers.

When searching for signings, try ticking the 'unrealistic signings' box on Player search. Makes signing players a lot easier.
