Players you had in lowest divisions who are still first choice in top leagues

As the title says have you ever had a player when you were in the lowest division that is still first choice when your club has reached the top tier?

In my San Marino game I have a few players still on board from the very first season but they tend to be back up players now and they're lucky when they make the bench.

There's one exception though, peruvian/italian midfielder Miguel Cevasco joined our club in serie C2 and since then has been a solid starter in every single season, including serie A:

Jason Puncheon from Southampton. 5th season and he managed to top assist chart with 22 assist. I even set his team status to Backup.
