Playing like Greece

A lot of people won't understand this, why would you like to play that defensive. Well, im Greek and somehow im proud of how we played, like in 2004. Im far from a tactical genius, so that's why i ask you guys for help. How can I make a tactic which is defensively good enough to hold the clean sheet and is possible to make a goal and win mostly with 1-0. Is it even possible?
