Playing same game over 2 laptops

is it possible too play a game on 2 different laptops by that I mean for example I sit on my laptop at home and my mate sits on his at his house and we play the same game as in 2 human managers. I know it was possible on either the last fm or one before but was tricky to do.

Yeah just copy the savefile, under the SI folder on your harddrive, onto a USB drive or dropbox, every time you leave your own or your friends house, and copy the file from the USB or dropbox into the SI folder on the computer you want to play on!

Noooo we want to play the same game file at the same time but been in 2 different places like a network thing

Online game, one person hosts, set up a password and they should be able to join by searching for your game name
