hmmm yess it would, but i want to make a tactic that i can use with a few teams :/, i probably will be everton once it's made, then possibly lower league, so i have to make it kinda standard... i have took attacking mentality to standard now
The thing is, you simply cant use the same tactic at lower levels and with top notch teams like United. I am not saying you cant have success with a top team using a very simple approach, but when facing good teams with quality players sitting deep with lots of men behing the ball ( like when playing Man U in the Prem), you have to put more pressure on the opponent and use far more movement, something that players in the lower leagues simply cant cope with.
If wanting to construct a good framework that you can make minor tweaks to, then I would probably use Standard-Balanced and take it from there, playing more attacking with the top team. In this framework, I would tweak some of the off the ball moves to suit the formation one is using. Roaming, runs from deep and Move into channels simply has to match not only the players ability, ppms but also the formation. There is no point asking your MC to have your attacking Midifelder playing in the Central MC in your Narrow 4321 to have a free role when there is no space (away from his position) to be found anywhere near him. he will just wonder off and will never be near the ball. The same goes for having a MCleft with runs from deep along with a ML that has cut inside. They will just step on each others toes.
When I construct a tactic, here using the Wide 41221 as an example, I make a decision where to start. Normally, its either with the central midfield or the Wingers. If I start on the wings, I take into account that most players are right footed, meaning that the AMR probably should be staying wide and not cut inside, perhaps having him huge the touchline looking for a cross. Then, I can actually give my right MC the orders to either Move forward alot (higher menatlity and/or runs from deep) or perhaps let him be positioned further down the field and let him stay back at all times, making more t-ball ( like the deep lying playmaker), also letting the AMR have a free role, making him move inside without the ball when its on the other flank as this is possible when the deeplying MCr has both dragged the AI MC onto him in the build up and/or is not taking up the space.
Now, depending on what settings I have used on the right flank, I can now make sure that the left flank works slightly different so that the play is less one dimensional. Perhaps my AML is right footed and likes to cut inside. Then I have take into account the setting of the MCleft and what they should be. Should be move into channels etc. Should he also stay behind etc.
These are just a few examples
