Please Help! Driving me mad!

This game is driving me mad! I started a game with Nantes...got sacked after being bottom of the league.

Started a game with Bielefeld...got sacked after being 2nd bottom of the league and winning only 2 games in about 25!.

Started a game with Portsmouth...after 5 games Im 18th in the league. Havent kept 1 clean sheet and just got beat 3-0 at home by Chesterfield!

I am playing 4-2-3-1 with the 3 being AML, AMC and AMR. I am out of ideas! Its only a matter of time before I get sacked here. I try and make them train more and mixing up the pre-match prep, but I just cant stop the rot. I dont know where Im going wrong, if its my tactics, my players, my training or what! Ive never been this bad at a FM

What type of Mentality do you use? and What are your 2 player roles for your Central Midfield area?
 
My 2 CM's are CM (S) and BBM (S). I use a standard mentality but change it to counter when away. My STC is a TM (A. My AMC is a Trequarista (A and 2 wingers (A
 
Lack of cover for your defenders in the midfield there.
 
make the BBM a BWM or CM (D) I guess. Maybe put wingers on support to get a more solid team, lone target man needs to be quality to really work out from my experiences.
 
9 games played with Pompey now in the league...Won 3, drawn 3, lost 3. Job is insecure!

Won my last match and just signed Donal McDermott on a 3 month loan so hoping things can turn around
 
14 games in....sacked. Quickly becoming bored of this game as I cant even get a long term game going as I keep getting sacked in my first season. Such a frustrating game
 
You might want to try some of the tactics available here, see how they work.....i started doing that because I don't have the kind of time to develop my own. Then you might have a clearer idea of where your tactics went wrong.
 
In the lower leagues there is a lack of quality in wide players. So I play narrow, right up the gut, balanced, and standard. Two strikers, one is a False 9, AMC, BBM, BWM, DM, and a conventional back line. Cuts right through most of the competition. Going for back to back promotions. Play to your squad strengths, do not get crazy with signing new players.
