Just a brief Intro, me and a friend have a 2 player game, mostly played on Friday Evenings and started in league 2 him with Grimsby Town, me with Chesterfield. 15 games away from the end of our 3rd season now were both still in the same division, after 2 seasons of battling relegation he has gone great guns this season and looks good for promotion. Myself assembling a squad of what i thought to be League 2 beating players including LARS STUBHAUG, BO ANTAL, DAVID GRAY, CARL MAGNAY, LUKA SENICANIN, JORDY BROUWER, JOSHUA KING, DONAL MCDERMOTT to name but a few, i was eventually sacked as Chesterfield Manager around 10 games ago. I have now been appointed Northampton Manager but after 7 games am still without victory and on the verge of releagtion. I presume these awful performances are just a case of me not being a very good tactition at the game as the players are all highly rated by my backroom staff who themselves have excellent attributes in the areas needed and am looking for any suggestions from people who have had success at a similar level with a tested approach. Whilst i am looking for tactics purely, i will take on board any other suggestions and whilst i have only just begun as Northampton Manager here are a few players i have signed and already have, thoughts also???

Signed:

JAN SEMAK (GK)
MICHELE FORNASIER (D RC)
CALLUM REYNOLDS (DC)

Already Have:

JOHN CURTIS (D RC)
JOE DUDGEON (D L)
LIAM DAVIS (M L)
BRETT ORMEROD (ST)
A. AKINFENWA (ST)

and thats all i can remember off hand.

Many Thanks

Could you give me a screenshot of your squad? Then I can have a look at what needs improving. Cheers.

i'll try and get one asap as the game is saved on his computer and for some reason he doesn't fancy having a game tonight

Have read about PompeyDans Training schedules, anyone know if these will help my Northampton side, i am trying to assemble and young side able to improve a lot, did try a tactic that was used by Bradford City on a story on there but to no avail so just trying to keep it simple now

Yeah PompeyDan's training schedules are immense. They improve your players a lot and the fitness of your players improves for the last parts of games which can help you win the game and hang onto the lead a lot.

Thanks guys, will try and get some screenshots soon and will start with that training

Best of luck to both of u with the Notts Forest story, trying to get thru the pages as we speak
