after many trials and errors i've managed to forge a tactic that deserves the name giant killer. using this tactic in second season on arsenal i somehow beat bayern 8-2 dortmund 9-1 real madrid 6-0. it's also very consistent against smaller teams too, but the biggest wins are against the big teams mostly.

for this tactic, match training with attacking movement and attacking set pieces will be useful. and it's best if your team have a winger on one side and inside forward on the other (switch them accordingly if you have a right inside forward and a left winger instead of what i have here), but if not it's fine too, you can set both as wingers, and even though i haven't tried using 2 inside forwards at the same time, they should work alright. just make sure they are both on support duty.

the target man can be set as either support or attack, depends on his relative ability compared to the wingers. if he's set as support, the wingers will score a lot more while the ST will be around 7.5 avg rating. if he's set to attack he will score like 40% of the team's goals, but at the expense of the wingers. the AM will always do well, about 8+ rating through out the season, but rarely get man of the match award. the box to box midfielder needs to have decent long shot and aerial ability, if not, you should replace someone with good long shot and heading/jumping with him for the corner setting

Will give it a try, do you have any full season stats? tables etc.

Won first game 2-1 plug and play, will continue as interested in results from a TM based striker as never used one before, what training do you for best test results?

didn't want to post it since i'm playing a custom database with all the biggest clubs put into a single league

Wilshere as left back ?
retrained him there with run with ball down left and gets forward often PPMs. make him ease off tackles since he "argues with officials" often and gets a lot of cards

he's left footed and technically gifted so he makes for a good attacking fullback. but if you want quick result just get a better leftback than gibbs/monreal. i'm only doing this because he can't find a place in midfield and i want to keep him at arsenal

i use attacking movement and attacking set pieces, score lots from corners. general training i just use ball control training but it's my preference , doesn't make any difference to the results i think

also i've noticed that it helps if you can switch around the TM between support and attack duties depends on the relative ability of your wingers + your TM vs opponent fullbacks + centerbacks. if the center is a better matchup than the wings, use TM-attack. if the wings are better matchup than the center, use TM-support

and also i'll quote myself here:
"it's best if your team have a winger on one side and inside forward on the other (switch them accordingly if you have a right inside forward and a left winger instead of what i have here), but if not it's fine too, you can set both as wingers, and even though i haven't tried using 2 inside forwards at the same time, they should work alright. just make sure they are both on support duty."

ok! will this also work with underdogs?
it has a lot of closing down and demands the wide players to run a lot, but if your players have good fitness then it should do fine. will have to change the centerbacks to central or limited defenders tho if they're not good with passing

I meant individual training as I did read OP? My apologies for not being more straightforward.

train your GK to sweeper keeper. fullbacks train crossing and runs down left/right + gets forward often. that's about it

Do u think that this tactic works well on Liverpool?
seems fine. the positions that are hard to fit are the 2 CM and 2 wingers, liverpool have players that fit in just right. lucas leiva is natural as box to box, coutinho IF on the left, ibe winger on the right. central midfielder you can use any of the plenty of CMs in liverpool team. benteke is just right for a TM

Yes but the 2 centerbacks that i will use, Sakho and Skrtel only have 12, 13 o passing, any problem?

When Henderson recover he is perfect to in BBM and Origi to as winger right

not really. just put them in their most comfortable role between cover and stopper, then drag sakho to the left spot and skrtel to the right spot (usually it's good to have left footed player on the left and vice versa)

I am keen to see how good this is I may have to start a new save or try and fit my Juventus team around this tactic.

Thumbs up! But I need to say I used your tactic to see what instructions you made and I tweaked your tactic. Haven't lost for three months, implemented it in januari. Thanks! (5 CCC)
