Im going pompy on the new data (11.3) Any ideas off what to do tactics, players, training.

And how to cope with take overs would be helpful oO)

I did a save with Pompy and won the league in my second season, You will have a transfer embargo on your team till September and no budget so can't sign any players, From September look for the best loan players available and try and get them.

1st season is mainly about finishing as high as you can with play-off's being the highest target in my opinion as you have such a small squad.

In terms of tactics use any of JP Woody's, His are the only tactic's I use and I have had noting but success with them, I'm using his Brian Clough tacitcs at the moment in my current save and are working very well.

In terms of training I just download of the site, I use Dunc's training.

First thing you need to do is to work out if you have enough cover for each position. Look to bring in useful squad players rather then players that can only play one position.

Example - Park @ United is a useful squad player because he can play LM, RM, AM and CM. One sub that can player anywhere is always better then having 2 subs that can play in one position. These are the kind of players you need to succeed in getting promotion.

(Ignore the above until you can sign people)

Tactic wise look to start with a balanced/short/control game at home (4-4-2) then push the game if needed by changing to an more attacking 4-3-3, and play defensive counter when you're away (4-5-1) with a DM anchor man and a deep lying play-maker.

I managed to finish 16th in my first season, injuries absolutely ravaged my squad, and in particular my long term loanees.

2nd season I started off badly, board takeover, and after bringing a few freebies in, I then went on a mental 20-odd game unbeaten run which ended up winning in the play offs.

3rd season, first season back in the prem, a very poor £11m budget given to me, barely enough to survive on, struggling like crazy with only 2 points from the first 12 games! Toughest save i've played so far!

I have an idea better than all of the one's said so far...

Manage Southampton instead! :D

Free transfers, Brahim Hemdani's one. Then once the embargo's gone, get ton loads of loans in from premier league teams. When you get enough money, try to sign Garra Dembele, he'll fire you to promotion.
