BBC NEWS: AWFORD WALKS FROM PORTSMOUTH.
Its seems many years ago now since Portsmouth were a solid Premier league team, finishing 8th in 2006 and even FA Cup winners but finacial
diffulties have seen them face 3 relagations in 4 years and now look to try and make there way back up the English footballing leagues.

Portsmouth have announced that manager walks away from the club after a dicussion with the board. He told them he believed he was not the right man to try and them back to days of glory. Fans begin to worry after a poor 13th place finish last year and no manager just days before pre-season will they gain promotion this season and will the ever reach the heights they used to play at.

Many managers would love to take up the job with Portsmouth having a strong league 2 side and a predicted 2nd place finish they surely need just a little Guidance to take them to league 1.

After interviewing many managers and beinging unable to agree personnal terms, they have announced they will be having a press conference later today to unveil their new mystery man.

PORTSMOUTH UNVEIL DICKSON AS NEW MANAGER

Portsmouth announced Nobody man, Dickson, as their new manager.

Journalist: "Dickson, Dickson, yes what are your ambitions for this season and will you be looking to well in the cup"

Dickson: "mm.. Yes I am looking to lead the team straight to the League 2 title and it is always nice to have a decent
cup run to excite the fans but it wont be my main objective"

J:"Do you believe you can lead Portsmouth back to the glory days of the Premier league and if so how long will it
take"
D:" I do believe this Portsmouth will once again be a Mid-table side in the premier and to duration...I am hoping to do
this in 5-6 seasons, That will be it for today"
End of press conference.

With a Transfer Budget of 1.29 Million and 11,000 Wage Budget, that should be more than enough to strengthen the side and win the League 2 title.
My starting line-up will be:
Jones
Devera Whatmough Robinson Shorey
Dunne Hollands
Wallace Westcarr Barcham
Tubbs
Key Players:
I have identified 4 key players for this season,

JACK WHATMOUGH: A promosing young center-back could prove to be vital for the spine of the team.

DANNY HOLLANDS: A good solid midfielder who likes to control the center of the park and can pop up with a vital goal or two.

JED WALLACE: The current club captain is the most promising player in the squad at the moment and could be the key player to make something happen.

MATT TUBBS: A striker with bags of experience and I will look for him to lead the line well througout the season.

Transfer-wise we mainly tried to bring in some good young players to strengthen in depth, get some fresh legs into the club and get some good youth for the future
