premier league ecc rules

i have finished 4th..and didn't qualify for champions league because spurs won it this year and they finished 7th..so they received the forth place for ecc..my question is..what has changed since 2005?

i remember that in that year everton finished 4th..and played in the champions league next year..liverpool played too but because some small team from another country gave them their place..it is so unfair ( i fought really hard for that 4th place

The rule changed that year, If a team wins the Champions League but dont finish fourth they take the last spot and the team from 4th miss out. happened to me on fm2010, with Tottenham aswell when Liverpool won it. Just unlucky mate
