Preston North End Football Club would like to finally announce the newly appointed manager of the club; Chris Wright. A mutual agreement has been made between the club and Alan Irvine to go seperate ways.

Chris Wright has our full backing and there will be a press conference to come in upcoming weeks before the start of the season.

After the announcment was made the local press then went on to interveiw local fans near the clubs ground;

A young man said this:
I don't really know about him, apparently he's some upcoming manager. All i hope for is that the players take to him and get us to where we deserve to be.
Whilst a middle-aged woman had this to say:
It's abit worrying for the club to take on a new manager but you don't get no where without being positive!
A day later Chris Wright had this to say;

I realise that people may be sceptical to put their trust in me however i feel i can deliver what is needed to take this club into the premiership, within two seasons. A report of my plans and thoughts are to come later on. I thank you all for your paetience.
That concludes this report.

:D

I did a save with Preston recently, found it quite fun, anyway good luck.

It is currently, but he took over midway through the season. And thank you, yes i do ;) :D

UPDATE

A few moments ago Chris Wright released a statement of intent, in addition to this will gain full control of this news feed where results and anything neccesary shall be posted.

As i have already stated i intend to bring the club into the premiership within two seasons, for this there are a few players that are essential to the success we hope to achieve.

In the defensive area there are 3 main players that'll keep this team solid at the back.

Eddie-Nolan-001.jpg

1223130829_spt_ai_watford_preston_03.jpg

Eddie Nolan - Andrew Lonergan - Sean St. Ledger

A reasonably young defence but very good nonetheless. Chances are it'll be one of these 3 players i choose as my captain for the upcoming season. I'm sure these 3 will be able to fend off any attack even from the most highly rated sides.

On the other side of the field we also have a few key players.

38848_news.jpg
0,,10362%7E3741995,00.jpg

Danny Welbeck - Richard Chaplow

Again another young front to my team, however the on-loan Welbeck looks likely to be well on form this season whilst Chaplow seems to be a strong central attacking midfielder that looks sure to supply the front men many a time throughout the season.

However i have noticed my squad to be weak in the left back area aswell as midfield, so i will need to be thinking about getting people in. Players will be brought in.

As for the Friendlies i started my first one with fitness in mind, and thats how my game plan worked. Overall a pleasing performance, on paper and on the pitch.

Bamber Bridge 0 - 3 Preston North End
A goal from Jon Parkin and 2 goals from Danny Welbeck.

Second Friendly went well, decided to test out a working formation etc. Paid off well with a sensational performance from Richard Chaplow, being involved in both the goals.

Bury 0 - 2 Preston North End
A goal from both Danny Welbeck and Ross Wallace.

The third friendly was my time to ask my players why they feel they deserve a role in the first team. They definately delivered. A good all round performance, other than one bit of shakey defending.

Livingston 1 - 6 Preston North End
Livingstons goal scored to make it 1-3 from Ian Irons. Whilst Chris Brown scored one, Danny Welbeck scored 2, Nicholson scored via a penalty, and 2 own goals from Derek Mcdonald and Jordan Ritchie.

Fourth friendly seemed more of a test for my team as it was league 1 opposition Millwall. However my hopes were dampened early on as Welbeck was injured within minutes, followed with having to substitue off Chaplow to rest him. This underlined how much my team relies on these two key players, will have to bring in some backup.

Millwall 2 - 2 Preston North End
Lewis Grabban and Gary Alexander grabbed a goal each for Millwall whilst Chris Brown and Eddie Nolan got a goal for us.

My hardest opposition friendly was against Everton, wasn't expecting much from this game but the score is reasonable considering the injuries im having to currently deal with.

Preston North End 1 - 3 Everton
Chris Brown scored for us whilst James Vaughan, Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill all scored one.

My last friendly was focusing on fitness, pretty pleased with how it went.

Chorley 0 - 4 Preston North End
Chris Brown scored a hatrick whilst Veliche Shumuviloski added the fourth.

So after all my friendlies i have finished my pre-season preparation, with only another attacking midfielder to add in.

Injuries Table
injuries.png

With only Danny Welbeck looking like he'll return before the first game of the season we'll have to start with less than a fall strength team.

Transfers Table

That concludes this post.

I use the 4-4-2 with good team instructions. It's really down to the opposition how i play. Im only amateur so i'll just see how things work out.

Also the post above has been updated.

----------------------------------

First game of the season, and i was looking forward to this one. However it was completely gutting, a game we controlled, and eventually lost after loosing our lead to a Lonergan own goal.

Preston North End 2 - 3 Bristol City
With a goal from Sean St. Ledger and Veliche Shumulikoski for us. However Nicky Maynard, Bradley Orr and an Andrew Longergan own goal sunk us.

NEW SIGNING!
Today it has been announced that Preston North End have secured a deal to bring Fabrice Muamba on loan from Bolton for 5 months. The deal is thought to be completely paid by, by Bolton. The deal caused outrage from Matty Taylor who claimed that 'Muamba is to much of a good player to be going out on loan'.
muamba_198447s.jpg

From now on, i will only be writing the Preston scorers, as i wish to keep focus on us rather than any other teams.

Grimsby 1 - 3 Preston North End
Chris Sedgwick - Richard Chaplow - Danny Welbeck

Good reply to the weekend loss. Happy with this result, rested some main players after the first half at which time i was up 3-0. But with Muamba already injured, i seem to be averaging an injury every game.

13th August - Mat Rits resumes full training. Could be a huge boost.

Doncaster 0 - 3 Preston North End
Chris Parkin (2) - Keith Treacy

Very good game, Doncaster had a weakened team so i thought i'd give a start to Mat Rits. Who did well, until picking up a minor knock. Chris Parkin was on form with 2 headers from floated crosses. Well played.

Barnsley 0 - 3 Preston North End
Danny Welbeck (3)

Brilliant game, now on two winning streak with large margins. Hope to carry this form on next week to Peterborough. Danny Welbeck(rating of 9.5) ran the show today, Richard Chaplow(rating of 9) also contributed alot. Solid performance.

Preston North End 1 - 1 Peterborough United
Mat Rits

Went behind early on, and was one of the games where nothing goes right for you. They had my main playmaker Chaplow anchored down for most of the game, and any chances we did get werent on target. However a late equaliser from Mat Rits salvaged the point. Hes showing real talent.

LEAGUE CUP.
Leyton Orient 1 - 2 Preston North End
Jon Parkin - Chris Sedgwick

Again went behind first after having most of the posession. My players fought back well scoring 2 goals in 4 minutes. Well hung on to, pleased about this one. Onto the 3rd Round.

Ipswich 2 - 2 Preston North End
Chris Sedgwick - Jon ParkinBrilliant team performance in the first half. 2-0 down by 20 minutes, and by the 40th it was all level. However with players fatiguing no goal could be found in the second half. Welbeck went close a few times but couldn't get it in the back of the net. Although the results disappointing, the players showed real character. Yet another injury, Chris Sedgwick this time.

A turn of events saw Ross Wallace depart Preston to premier league side Birmingham City for a fee of somewhere around £2,000,000. A price that can't be refused.

To counter the loss of the last injury-free left winger, I have brought in Jason Banton on loan from Blackburn reserves.

The first month, August, is now over.
My player of the month is Jon Parkin.

Jon_Parkin_738002a.jpg

The tall target man performed very well, grabbing 4 crucial goals this month, with a superb attitude. Has partnered Danny Welbeck well this month. Supplying as well as scoring, Jon always gives it his all.

The month in review showed great away form, with 4 wins and 1 draw out of 5. However we need to make Deepdale a fortress and start winning more at home.

Concludes this months post.

September

Preston North End 2
- 2 Swansea
Danny Welbeck - Eddie Nolan

Again the home form came into play, went behind twice but again showed character to get a goal back. Especially with their 2nd goal going in on the 87th minute. Still unbeaten in 5 which is good, however more wins are needed.

Scunthorpe 1 - 0 Preston North End

Terrible game, not much more to say.

Preston North End 2 - 1 Coventry
Danny Welbeck (2)

Finally a league home win. Was even into the break, but within 35 seconds Danny Welbeck curled in an absolute beaut from a long way out. Followed by Welbeck slipping past a defender and slotting in again. Held out well after Coventry got a goal.

LEAGUE CUP. Birmingham City 2 - 1 Preston North End
Neil Mellor

Pretty pleased with the performance in this game, however with Eddie Nolan already injured, Sean St. Ledger was the last person i want to get hurt. And he did. Followed by Billy Jones being injured also. Injuries are my thing this season.

Leicester City 0 - 1 Preston North End
Fabrice Muamba

Decided to make a few changes to rest some key players. Good defensive performance, all that was needed was to get abit of aggression going. Wonder strike from Muamba. Good performance.

27th September. Following some recent comments from Rudi Garcia, Sean St. Ledger has requested a transfer, that i have accepted. Will try to hang on to him as long as i can.

Preston North End 2
- 4 Reading
Neil Mellor - Jason Banton

Appauling, went behind twice, got it equal again, i cant seem to win games consistently enough. Poor defending, poor home form.

Player of the Month
Danny Welbeck

images

Scored 3 important goals, out of the 2 games he played this month. His spectatular first goal against Coventry was 3rd best goal of the month. Amazing player.

To review the month i would say its been pretty disappointing. I need to improve my home form.

Concludes this months post.

Haha yeah i suppose, but its only now he's getting on form ;) Im not sure how i'm going to handle my home performances. Im playing 4-4-2 for both home and away. I think i might have to start playing 4-1-3-2, not really what i want to be doing at home though.

October

Started the month trying to focus on home form.

Preston North End 0 - 1 West Brom

Poor performance, its that home form again. Both Jon Parkin and Neil Mellor got injured, leaving my squad with only one striker, as Danny Welbeck is on international duty and Chris Brown is injured. This is poor.

At this point i decided to change tactics, to Cragswfc 'Complete Dominance' to see if my home form would rise.

TRANSFER NEWS.
After having only 1 striker left i decided to bring in Daniel Pacheco and Fabio Borini on 3 month loans.

Q.P.R 1 - 1 Preston North End
Paul Parry

Fairly good game, unlucky not to take all 3 points. But again Neil Mellor is injured.

Sheffield Wednesday 3 - 3 Preston North End
Neill Collins - Fabio Borini - Fabrice Muamba

Seems the away form has gone as well. Another game we could and should have won. After going ahead 3 times. I just need to get on a run.

Preston North End 1 - 0 Middlesbrough
Neil Mellor

Good result, hope it'll spark a run.Richard Chaplow however hasn't been on form for a few games, we need him to get in form in order to go further.

Preston North End 4 - 3 Crystal Palace
Fabrice Muamba (2) - Daniel Pacheco - Neil Mellor

Brilliant game from Muamba, 1-0 down, and to bring it back was good. Bit of complacency at the end allowing Palace 2 easy goals aswell as Eddie Nolan getting sent off. Unbeaten in 4.

Time for the Player of the Month

Fabrice Muamba

0,,10412%7E2953360,00.jpg

Not only did he win October's Young Player Of The Month, but he contributed 3 goals in 5 games from midfield. He was also very modest giving me the credits for his recent form. Top guy.

Reveiw of the month: Unbeaten run of 4, but really could have got more from the all the games. Good month nonetheless.

---------- Post added at 09:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:59 PM ----------

November

During this month i hoped i could keep my unbeaten streak going.

Watford 3 - 2 Preston North End
Neil Mellor - Fabio Borini

Very annoying game, was 1-0 up before Jon Harley got sent off. Went down hill from there. We seem to fail each time we get close to acheiving something.

Preston North End 0 - 1 Newcastle

Really feel we could have taken this alot further and got all 3 points. Once again Jon Parkin comes back and gets injured. And Danny Welbeck was on an off game.

26th - Sean St Ledger has requested to be taken off the transfer list. However a bid for 3.8 million from LOSC Lille Metropole has already been accepted.

Blackpool 1 - 4 Preston North End
Neil Mellor (3) - Danny Welbeck

Best game so far this season. The team had an average rating of 7.6. Neil Mellor played incredible, 4 goals in 3 games. laaaaavely!

Player of the month this time goes to Neil Mellor.

0,,10354%7E5290498,00.jpg

4 goals in 3 games says it all. Performed brilliantly.

To look upon this month and take positives from it would be hard. But performances from Neil Mellor helped me with that. He was amazing, however my team need to build some more consistency.

This ends November.

December

I was just going to take this month as it comes. See what needs improving and what doesn't, whilst focusing on games.

Cardiff 4 - 2 Preston North End
Jason Banton - Keith Treacy

Terrible performance. The team really aren't playing as if they want to be promoted.

Preston North End 4 - 0 Derby
Sean St. Ledger (2) - Veliche Shumulikoski - Neil Mellor

A great response to last weeks loss, 2 points off the play offs.

Preston North End 2 - 1 Plymouth
Neil Mellor - Fabrice Muamba

Good to see 2 wins in a row. Been very good performances from the team this month so far. Still 2 points off the play offs.

Nottingham Forest 1 - 4 Preston North End
Neil Mellor - Fabio Borini (2) - Fabrice Muamba

Another win, very proud of how my team are performing. I am now in a play off position for the first time this season.

Preston North End 1 - 0 Barnsley
Chris Brown
Another good performance.

Breaking News

We have completed the signing of Derby wonder defender/midfielder Miles Addison, he shall be replacing Sean St Ledger. The deal was done for a total worth of 4 million.

Sheffield United 1 - 0 Preston North End

Not a bad performance really, it was just a matter of who could score first until Muamba got sent off. Were unlucky not to get a point out of this to be perfectly honest. Not to dissappointed.

Player of the Month goes to
Sean St Ledger

ledger_280x390_696488a.jpg

With a good defensive record this month barr the Cardiff game, Sean has given his all in his last month here at Preston. Well deserved.

To review this month you would say its very good. Into the playoffs, the purchase of Miles Addison secured, and generally good morale in the camp.

CONCLUDES DECEMBER.

January

The deals of Sean St Ledger and Addison are completed, and i aim to get myself a few points clear in the play offs this month.

FA CUP. Sheffield United 2 - 0 Preston North End

A poor performance, without Neil Mellor and Danny Welbeck goals are hard to find, especially now with Chaplow injured. However Neil looks like he's coming back to full fitness soon.

Pacheco, Borini and Muamba loans expire.

FC Bayern, Barcelona , A.C Milan and Sevilla have all made bids for Mat Rits, i am going to do my best to hold onto Mat.

Preston North End 1
- 2 Doncaster Robers
Mat Rits

Mat showed why hes so sought after here with a good strike within 4 minutes. Went downhill after an own goal equalised for Doncaster. ANnoying game. Thats 3 losses in a row.

Liam Chilvers moves to Derby for a fee of £100,000.

Bristol Rovers 5 - 0 Preston North End

Utterly terrible performance. Team need to pick it up if we're going to get a play off spot.

Peterborough 0 - 0 Preston North End

A boring dull game, my form is terrible.

Preston North End 4 - 2 Ipswich Town
Richard Chaplow - Danny Welbeck - Neil Mellor - Jon Parkin

Good result there, takes me closer to being back into the play offs. I'm now 7th. My attack force look to be on form now.

Player of the month goes to Miles Addison

Miles_Addison_280x3_877494a.jpg

After only being here a month he has played very well, considering the form we've been in. Rating of 7.04 so far, not bad.

This month has been terrible to review, as we've lost the majority of the games, poor month, could have cost us a play off space.

END OF JANUARY.

preston were the most consistent side in the championship before they sold paul mckenna, says a lot doesnt it?

February

It's a month to make up on my losses last month starting with Swansea.

Swansea 1 - 1 Preston North End
Danny Welbeck

Good result, but i could and should have definately done better. But im not knocking it because picking up points is always positive.

Preston North End 1 - 3 Sheffield United
Eugene Bopp

Terrible, they seem to be a bogey team.

Preston North End 4 - 0 Blackpool
Eddie Nolan - Neil Mellor - Chris Brown - Richard Chaplow

Very good result against a rival. Got the double out of them. Hopefully this'll do well for consistency.

Derby 3 - 1 Preston North End
Jon Parkin

Yet another own goal lead to our downfall.

Newcastle United 0 - 0 Preston North End

A good point, but couldn't play as we would have liked due to the amount of fouls being inflicted on us.

Preston North End 3 - 1 Cardiff City
Jon Parkin (2) - Neil Mellor

Good 3 points here. Cardiff are a strong side, and went ahead first. Good spirit in the team.

Miles Addison wins player of the month again.

Miles_Addison_280x3_877494a.jpg

He played very well this month. And won the young player of the month award. Has settled in well.

Up and down month.

End of February.

Beginning of March/April/May

Plymouth 2 - 1 Preston
Preston 1 - 3 Nottingham Forest
Preston 0 - 2 Sheffield Wednesday
West Brom 4 - 2 Preston
Middlesborough 1 - 2 Preston
Preston 2 - 1 QPR
Preston 2 - 2 Watford
Crystal Palace 2 - 0 Preston
Preston 2 - 0 Scunthorpe
Coventry 0 - 1 Preston
Preston 1 - 0 Leicster

6th - Swansea - 67 points - Doncaster 24th
7th - Preston - 66 Points - Reading 19th

It comes down to the last game of the season whether i get a play off space or not. Lets hope for the best.

Reading 0 - 1 Preston North End
Swansea 2 - 0 Doncaster

Sadly a play off place isn't mine this season.

EDIT FOR SOME REASON MY SAVE HAS DECIDED NOT TO LOAD UP. I CAN NO LONGER CARRY ON, BUT I WILL START A NEW STORY! BUT WITH A DIFFERENT CLUB. ONE STILL IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
This needs to be closed/locked please.
