Preston North End. From the dumps of the championship to the highs (and lows) of the EPL.
I have already started this save game and i'm about halfway through my season, so i'll give you a brief(ish) introduction to my story and my aims.

In the past Preston were famously successful, being the first winners of "The Double" in
English football. In 1888-89 Preston became the only team to go throughout an entire season unbeaten in both the league and FA Cup — also with the record of never conceding a goal in the FA Cup, only Arsenal F.C., in 2003-04, have managed to have an unbeaten season in any league division since.

  • Play-off Runners-up: 2001, 2005
  • Play-off Semi-finalists: 2006, 2009
Therefore, my aim to is to qualify for the final of the playoffs and win it, granting promotion to the English Premier League for Preston North End.

Good luck mate.I'll follow.

And how d'you get N'Gog?I can NEVER sign him.He always rejects me :'(

Haha, just got in there early with a loan offer, he's been absolute class, who do you usually play with? EDIT (oh Hearts?) :D

Joe Bennett and his Lilywhite men continued their superb cup run with a morale boosting extra time win in dramatic fashion away to Nottingham Forest.

"I'm delighted with this result as it shows our determination, the players respect for me and decisions, and determination to break into the first team, especially in Stephen's case" The new manager said after the game. Stephen Elliott has often failed to find himself on the teamsheet this season with consistent performers Marlon Harewood and David N'gog keeping him out of the team. Another "bench warmer" is Jon Parkin, who after an exciting start to the campaign as failed to net for 4 whole hours of football for the Manchester based club. More good news for the away fans was the return, and eventual debut of Thomas Kristensen, the dane, signed for 875k last summer played 120 minutes at The City Ground.

N'gog is doin class for me aswell mate :) Btw I'm Preston too :)

Keep Ross Wallace,if you don't like him after a season, sell him then, his price increases expenentially. Also he's VERY good at set pieces.
you could've gotten a lot more for Jonesy' 1.7 Million :O

:O i thought it was a really good deal! he wasn't worth anything like that. I've just about managed to keep Youl Mawene after he got upset at the start of the season, fortunately i rejected any offers for Wallace though ;). His corners have been fantastic so far this season..

As i can see, this thread is attracting huge amounts of interest (yeah maybe not..) but there is a good reason for my not updating for around 3 days - MY COMPUTER HAS A VIRUS ****** hackers.. it's called security tool and has hijacked m desktop don't fall for it!! i am able to send this from my darling mother's computer while listening to Man City beating Chelsea and my beloved Scotland probably about to get beat by the worst rugby team in the competition. So a mixed weekend so far! Will update asap

To get rid of security tool just do a system restore to before you got the virus

Wallace for me scored 8 goals in a season, 7 from set pieces. If you're on the new patch, you've got St.Ledger back so you may be able to sell Mawene for a good price of course ;)
Trust me Jones develops into a brilliant player,he's very versitile, and a really good player at the start.

sorry guys still struggling with the whole virus thing - removed security tool but apparently i have more :( so my computer won't start up and i can't play FM getting it sorted though and i hope ill be back up and running within a week.
