Prevent players from signing a new contract

Hi,

I just started a save with West Ham and I want to sign some English players. I noticed that Danny Ings (Burnley) and Luke Garbutt (Everton) only have a one year contract. So is there anything I can do to make sure that they won't sign a new contract? I'd rather wait a year instead of paying 10m for Garbutt and 23m for Ings.

I signed Garbutt on loan so I hope that will help, but I can't get Ings on loan of course.

You can try to unsettle him, but nothing you can do really from another club.

In EVERY one of my saves, they both becomes frees anyway.

I hope Garbutt will become a free. I was very certain that Ings wouldn't sign a new contract because he indeed never does, but of course when I want him.. Southampton buys him for 10m :'(. My scout said Burnley wanted about 17-30m at the start of the game, but I also couldn't afford 10m anyway.
