Problem agains teams who play 451 formation

Hi! I'm playing something between 442 and 424 formation with AMR and AML helping in attack and two MC's in the middle. In the first seasons i was allmost unbeateble but my team struggled against teams who play 451 formation. Now 5 or 6 seasons later every team plays 451 formation, and you can imagine my problem. I cannot find formation that will work good against 451 and i need help, any suggestions are welcome. Untill good suggestion comes my FM is on pause.

in essence you want play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

You should exploit the flanks, think of mourinho against Barça. Look for fullbacks overlapping on the flanks, put two target men and you will get it

If the opposition plays 451 with one forward and no attacking midfielder...easy to deal
Man mark the fwd, esp if he is target man (usually the case); add some steel to your midfield and close
down their mids properly. A def mid will really help. And man mark their wingers with your fullbacks. It
should work. And focus you passing down both flanks.
If the opposition play an attcking midfielder, a small change
A defensive midfielder becomes very essential..especially against a skillful attacking mid (Gerrard, Kaka
etc). Central midfielders of the opposition are not much involved in the attacks unless the opposition is a
very quality team and thus man marking is not necessary. As far as closing dwon is concerned..depends
on the midfielder and so does hard tackling.
Whatever is the case, two things must: Man Mark their target man and your midfield must have good work rate and team work.....

Match them up , Slam a 451 on yourself
Play your defensive line high up the pitch as there is only 1 striker u want to limit his space to link up with the midfield its usually the midfielder runners that cause u the problem
