Hi Guys, i am having a very frustrating problem with my current game with Walsall in League 1.

I have got a couple of good CB's for this level (Andrius Skerla and Lucien Mettomo) but we constantly concede goals from crosses into the box. Both defenders are good ar marking and positioning etc but they continually allow the forwards to get the better of them and onto the end of crosses.

It's so frustrating because every other aspect of thier game is fine. Despite these constant errors they both have an average rating of over 7.00

Does anybody know of anything i can do to try and stop this problem? I wonder whether i should be setting opposision instructions or something to that effect.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Does no one really have no answers to this?

Cheers

try getting a decent goalie who is effective in the air.

are you using man marking or zonal? man marking would be more eefective at stopping this kind of goal

Hi Jake,

I did think it may be the keeper who needs to come and claim crosses more but i can't encourage him to do it with player interaction. I use Clayton Ince at the moment. I assume Aerial Ability is what you look for for a keeper who is good at claiming crosses?

I already have my defenders on man marking, i also tell them to mark tight but it still seems to happen.

Thanks in advance

Matt

what about your fullbacks? how are they performing (they could be pushing up to much) becuase if you can stop the cross coming in then the goals should stop
