Problem with loading database

I've installed patch 8.0.2 and inserted a database update (ADDManagers)into the correct My Documents folder, but when i load a new game it doesn't ask me which database to use, it just uses the 8.0.2 one. the new database is recognised in the editor though.

what am i doing wrong ?
