Does anyone else have any problems with Berbatov?

Half way through my first season with Man Utd and I can't seem to get him to gel into my team. He hardly scores, ratings are 9 times out of 10 below 6, and his morale is constantly poor.

The rest of the team is fine but I don't understand why he doesn't seem to fit in?

I don't tinker with my tactics too much as they appear to be working, and he gets his fair share of games.

Any pointers as to how I can get more out of him?

he always did that with me i sold him replaced him with ibramabovic and him and rooney work a treat for you

I was considering an approach for Ibrahimovic as I need a decent "big man" up front but figured Inter would want daft money for him

i suppose so but if u have good money already and u sell berbatov u will have enough

I've had problems with all my strikers at United in the start of the first season. I sold Tevez to Real Madrid and bought Balotelli as I've been hearing praise about him.

My strikers are usually playing at a rating under 6 in the first half before I bring out the hairdrier. I've now tried to play Berbatov as more of a link between attack and defence with lower mentality and on mixed/rarely forward runs. Now my attack is working alot better with some great passing play up front.

Aye Balotelli is great for a secondary striker, I had him for Man City (before my save game buggered up) and have just started a season with Everton and managed to get him on a season long loan :D

You can play Berbatov as your FCa, just make sure that you adhere to the following:

Creative Freedom: Maximum (20)
Closing Down: Own Half (14)
Tackling: Easy
Forward Runs: Mixed
Run With Ball: Often
Long Shots: Mixed
Through Balls: Often
Cross Ball: Mixed
Cross From: Byline

It's took me some time to find that out, after many poor performances and goal droughts, just keep faith with it until he gets used to it and then you'll have a very different player indeed! Hope this helps...

the reason for his creative freedom is because he is one of those players that has HIGH technique..so just let him do his own stuff.

Tell berbatov that you are deeply upset with his recent performances or drop him for a while and then build him into the squad slowly that seems to do the trick for me.

rofl lofty...thats dumb u just making him less confident...he needs to have the most creative freedom possible...or give him a free role..hes 29 goals, 25 apps for me -.-

yes. because that player has the skill to do whatever he wants, and he cant always do what u want him to do. so just let him do his own things...u will start to see he plays better when he plays his `style`of football.

steaua what creative freedom would you give to Cardozo as he is Target Man in my formation?

cardozo i put him midway creative freedom, also i put his long shots to often:) he scores a load of goals.

HANCURY- creative freedom max...mentality max...tackling hard...passing direct.

You could get cardozo or toni/klose.

EDIT: There's also a zenit striker called... Brogenyak or something... he's great too

Pogrebnyiak i guess. i had him but somehow Cardozo was twice better than this russian killa

Play Berbatov FC(d) let him drop into space behind your striker and you'll get the best out of him.
