Prolific inside forward instructions?

Hi, i am wondering on what to do to make your wingers score a lot of goals, ive tried setting their roles to inside forwards to allow more cutting and putting them in the opposite flank from their preferred foot, has anyone ever had their wingers score 17 or more goals in a season???

I am currently managing real madrid and i am struggling to have both my ronaldo and ribery to score goals regularly from the flank.... my tactic is 4-2-3-1 deep

Ehrm, I pretty much maxed out all the offensive settings for my Inside Forwards and fed them alot of through balls from centerfield. I know he's a world class player and they're few between but I had Leo Messi score just under 80 goals during one season that way, ofc he was also taking free kicks and penalties for the team which helped increase the number of goals.
At the time I was using a 4-2-4 tactic with 2 deep lying midfielders, one as playmaker and one as an extra defenseman taking up the odd AMC strolling towards my defense line.

On a side note: I've found it difficult to include the left inside forward into the gameplay properly, it's usually the right one making the biggest impact on how the team plays. You could try setting your lefty into a advanced playmaker I guess, to get him feeding through balls for your poacher and opposing inside forward?

Setting them both to advanced playmaker always works well for me.
