BACKGROUND:

It all started two seasons ago, unheard of manager Simon Casey had taken charge of the R's. Not much was expected of the new boy but what happened even blew Casey's expectations. First season QPR where crowded The Coca-Cola Championship winners. The following season they where labeled the over achievers with a 7th place finish. Casey's team showed great determination against the big top 4 but also showed why it could of just been luck by being thrashed by such teams as Wolves and Stoke. This season they will be trying to prove it wasn't a once off while tackling Europe. The Question is will they do it?

Below is statistics of the first seasons to keep you up to scratch, season two will follow and after that pre-season and transfers of the big year to come

SEASON ONE

The key to this success was the strike force of Djiby Fall and Lacina Traore . Before Fall arrived during the January window games where tight , the partnership they developed destroyed defenses. The two center backs also shun as did the whole team , with most players being 6ft or more Casey developed his tactic into a physical tactic yet playing a short passing slow tempo combining both beauty and the beast

As a QPR fan, I wish you the very best of luck and will follow! Nice to see Rowly is still in your team :)

SEASON TWO

Player of the season: Joe Hart

Yet again Simon Casey Beauty and the Beast approach work wonders for him. the style enabled the team to gell through slow tempo but push and fight back against there opposition when they where up against it . the addition of Joe Hart was a major improvement and more defender where brought in to add pace

Thats only first season second he played less this season i doubt he'll play but i want to keep him he is still captain and i hope he will join as a coach when he retires

SEASON 3

THE BEGINNING: TRANSFERS

A few newcomers to the professional scene where snap up by Casey along with some more fimilar names such as Delph and Deco. The two major signing where Mathias Jorgensen a young Danish defender and Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto. Casey along with these purchases made two controversial signing as Jermaine Pennant returns to the Premiership and the signing of Carlos Alberto who was signed with out a work permit and was sent on loan to Belgian side Kapellen, it is rumored the Casey is brought in Alberto to sell in january and make a profit of the Brazilian free signing. 17 year old Vegard Kanck pictured below is also due to join the club on the 1.1.2012

PRE-SEASON:

A short pre-season for Casey's men with only three games. The R's managed two wins and one lose, a dissapointing 2-1 defeat to Lincoln but the made up for it with a 3-1 win over Derby and a 12-0 win against Kapellen.

QPR dominated all the matches with Traore, Deco and Pennant impressing the most. Besides the Lincoln the defeat another low point was an injury to Dmitriy Verkhovtsev one of Caseys most selected player since his taking over of manager but luckily he is set to return before the big kick off in August

good luck. dont let possible european success drag your league form down. take a leaf out of roy hodgsons book in real life. hes yet to play a full strength side in the europa league

CASEY IN SELECTION MESS

Casey faces problems as he team only have 2 players trained at club with only a week till registration Casey must find player previously trained at the club in order to continue(the game will be stuck it happened to me before) but with no budget left what will the future hold......

go on holiday when prompted to finalise your squad with the home grown quota. you may end up with a smaller squad but it has worked for me before

genius thanks

no probs. how big a squad did you end up with? my smallest champions league squad was 18 when i tried the rather silly experiemnt of trying to have an entirely south american set of players for man utd. they didnt settle, and the argies and brazilians all fell out, total failure

only one from my first squad not able to pick so it grand but not gonna win the cup it a tough year got ac milan, psv, celtic, inter, sevilla , arsenal and valenica not to mention the others that will join from champoins league

August Review:

Results: 5 games, 4 wins, one draw
Best result: 2-1 win over Arsenal
Player of the month: 1st Joe Hart , 2nd Lacina Traore, 3rd Mathias Jorgensen
Low points: injury to Danny Simpson (3 weeks) lack of natural right back cover
High points: overall results, Krivets goal vs Arsenal (run from half way line)

EUROPA LEAGUE GROUP DRAW

QPR have been handed a tough group and face a difficult challenge of qualifying

SEPTEMBER REVIEW:

overall a disappointing month for QPR yet two great results vs high level teams

Results: 5 games 0 wins 3 draws 2 loses
Prem Position: 9th
Europa league: 3rd
Player of the Month: 1st Verkhovtsev, 2nd Traore, 3rd Deco
High points: comebacks against Liverpool and Valencia, overall performance vs Valencia
