Quick question for anyone who can help.

Playing as Rangers, just about to finish my second season in charge. First season came second in my champions league group and got to quarter finals, this season finished top but only got to first knock out stage.

My question is if i continue with this trend, how long before first place automatically qualifies? I checked my coefficient score (58.92) which is higher than than a lot of teams who seem to automatically qualify. I am aware that the league makes a big difference however but still quite frustrating.

Cheers in advance

Oh, nevermind....

You can check the coefficient rankings if you go to World -> Europe -> Awards, then click the Nations tab and from there go to Coefficients. I keep checking back there after every Euro-League or Champions league fixture, to see how it develops. There is also a description of the qualification positions given to a certain position in the ranking (if you click on the qualification positions button next to coefficients).

1st place what mate? you are talking about the ECL then you are reffering to your league? it does not make sense....

if you finish 1st in the SPL are you saying you should automatically qualify for the ECL draw? if so, the SPL has like 2 slots and both of them are qualifying spots just like 4th place in the bigger leagues like the EPL and BBVA...

if you continuously finish 1st in the league, it wont make a difference really... if you were someone like Aberdeen and won the league (you would grow the reputation for that league as Celtic and Rangers are already maxed out in that league) it may open up another spot for Ecl then the 1st place team may automatically qualify...

@Raikan

I think the qualification places don't depend on the league reputation but on the performance of the teams from the specific nation in the Euro-League and Champions league. Aside from the club coefficients there is also a nation 5 year coefficient ranking and that determines the number of direct qualification spots.

So the only way to rise the spots available in your league is to do well in the european competitions. The nation coefficients are updated after every european match you play so you can see if you are about to overtake other countries in the ranking.
