After seeing a news article yesterday on the amount of debt that QPR currently have and how much a year they are spending on wages, I decided to take it upon myself to sort out the mess and drag QPR from crippling debts and make them a strong, well off financially team.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
Tony Fernandes: I have gathered press and players alike today to unveil our new first team manager. After much debate in the boardroom over the summer, we thought it would be best to ask Harry Redknapp to step down and bring in a new face, some fresh ideas and thoughts for this club. I present to you, MCFC1880.

MCFC1880: Thank you Tony, now I know you may never have heard of me before, but I feel it was time that I stepped into football management, as a former Sunday league player and coach I have grown up with football always in my life, I am honoured to have this opportunity.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

To start the challenge at the club I have been given ?400k to spend and we are currently ?19,649 over the ?1m wage budget; my task is to not bring in many players, if any at all but to offload some and mainly reduce the massive QPR wage bill however, with the type of Premier League wages these players are on in the Championship, I think it's going to be easier said than done.

This is the main formation I will hope to use this season, as long as it proves successful with the team (sorry it's small, still getting used to posting on forums after ages) :

I shall be back with an update once I am able to with the transfer dealings amd friendlies once I have got that far and preparing for the season ahead.
Thanks for looking in and I hope you enjoy the story.

The transfers that have been done so far have found former Manchester City and Celtic striker Georgios Samaras join the club on loan for 6 months.

In terms of goings out, Hogan Ephraim has left to join Huddersfield on a free transfer while Angelo Balanta, Max Ehmer and Sam Magri all left on loan; even though they aren't shown on the list Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Modibo Maiga's loans were cancelled as I felt there were others are the club that were just as good, if not better therefore getting rid of their loan wages. QPR now find themselves ?67,000 under the wage budget.

Friendlies:
I cancelled some of the original friendlies, such as Norwich away and put us up against some opponents that I felt could be abit of a tougher task for us:
QPR 2-0 QPR Under 21s
Austin 41, 56

Derriaghy 0-8 QPR
Austin pen 13, 15, 33, pen 51, Carroll 32, Hughes 64, Jenas 65, Hill 87

Enfield 0-2 QPR
Barton 6, Hill 37

QPR 2-1
Anderlecht
Carroll 36, Benayoun 83; Stevens 62

QPR 2-
1 Lazio
Austin 46, Samaras 51; Konko 37

Murcia 1-5 QPR
Eddy 71; Doyle pen 21, 45+1, O'Neil 40, Hughes 62, 64

So far, I am very impressed with the team and the way they seem to have adapted to my tactics, winning all of our friendlies, conceding just 3 goals and scoring 21 goals, I am feeling positive heading into the Championship season; our first game - a home match against Blackburn Rovers.

August:

Before the Blackburn game rolled around, I sat down with QPR skipper Clint Hill and the rest of the team to discuss what exactly they felt we should be going for this season, I personally declared that it should be around promotion territory as I felt our squad was good enough for that.

Clint Hill: We've had far too many changes to staff and squad, too many players coming in and then going out again, I for one am tired of it and I believe that with this squad now we have a team more than capable of hitting the promotion target!

First Team Squad for the Season:
Keepers: Robert Green, Brian Murphy
Defenders: Nedum Onuoha, Danny Simpson, Luke Young, Clint Hill, Aaron Hughes, Richard Dunne, Yoon Seok-Young, Armand Traore
Midfielders: Alejandro Faurlin, Karl Henry, Jermaine Jenas, Gary O'Neil, Yossi Benayoun, Joey Barton, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Niko Kranjcar, Thomas Carroll, Matt Phillips, Junior Hoilett
Strikers: Georgios Samaras, Kevin Doyle, Andy Johnson, Will Keane, Charlie Austin

There were quite a few injuries going into the first game of the season against Blackburn - Hill, Dunne, Kranjcar, Phillips and Keane all missing.

Overall it was a very pleasing month, undefeated in 7 games and both competitions we are in so far, my main concern so far is the performances of Robert Green in goal, he has made a few mistakes so far this season including a low cross from the wings going underneath him and into the goal against Wigan.

This month:
7 Games
15 Goals scored
5 Goals conceded
Championship Table Position: 2nd

Thanks for the advice, I'll sort that yellow out and look at put screens on. Just like I put on the welcome boards, it's been about 3 years-ish since I was last posting on any sort of forum so I'm just doing it the way I used to. I'm sure I'll get into the swing of things soon enough

September:
Lacklustre performances
Severe Injury
Chops and Changes

View attachment 410495
We kick off September with the international break, a few of our squad were out with their teams including the returning Richard Dunne, who had been injured since before my arrival at the doors of Loftus Road. We have had the almost perfect start to the season and in some terms it was a little unnerving as I began to wonder if our goal-shy strikers and blunder keeper, Robert Green could stand the test of the fixtures that lay ahead of us.

Bournemouth 1-0 QPR

Our first game back after the international break and I was looking forward to this one, an away trip to Bournemouth however, they had other plans than a stroll at the seaside. Aaron Hughes, who has been nothing short of sensational from the start of the season endured a day to forget when he put the ball through this own net as Robert Green stood on and watched a simple back-pass go into the net.

This game signalled that enough was enough for me, without prior warning Green was dropped for the following match, and it was a tough call going into a big game against Leeds United. Shortly before this match former Leeds and QPR manager Neil Warnock tried to stick the knife into MCFC1880 declaring that this was nothing short of a 'must win match-up' if he wanted to keep his job.

QPR 1-0 Leeds

It was the man that was not just goal shy but shot shy that fired us to the win after just 16 minutes, Charlie Austin hasn't had the best of starts to his short QPR career but this seemed a turning point; that was until pulling short with an injury and tearing his calf muscle which rules him out for upto the next 4/5 months of action. This match was also the league debut of Brian Murphy in goal who has just entered his 3rd season with QPR.

QPR 0-2 Ipswich

In what should have been a routine win for a strong QPR side, it was goals for Paul Anderson and Cole Skuse that saw Mick McCarthy's gritty Ipswich side walk away with all 3 points, a very disappointing performance.

Charlton 5-2 QPR

QPR manager, MCFC1880 had some very strong words for both his players and the press at the end of this match.
'It was disgraceful, I can tell you all day long how well Charlton played because they did, well done to them but we were awful. There isn't one player I could say truly impressed me and Robert Green, I brought him back in today for the cup match to see if he could make up for his recent troubles and it showed today that I was right to drop him in the first place. We now have a big game against Derby away at the weekend and I can promise you that there will be changes.'

Derby 2-0 QPR

QPR finish off the month in disappointing fashion, there were 7 shots for QPR and only 1 of them was on target, this cannot continue...

MCFC's had enough?

Rumours have swirled around Loftus Road today as QPR manager, MCFC1880 has called together a press conference in what many are considering might be his last at Queens Park Rangers. After going unbeaten for his first 7 games in charge of QPR, they have found themselves fall into a slump of losing 4 of their previous 5 games. We now go live to Loftus Road for the news...

MCFC1880: Thank you all for coming.
News Reporter: Why is it that you've called us here today exactly MCFC? Are the rumours true that you've had enough here?
MCFC1880: Haha! Not quite, I'm here for the long haul, or as long as Tony (Fernandes) can put up with me!... No, no, I've brought you all here today for 2 reasons. After some very disappointing displays as of late I have decided that I've seen enough, or in this case not enough of 3 certain players when they've played and therefore transfer listed the following:

View attachment 521604View attachment 410271View attachment 410270
Robert Green, Armand Traore and Andy Johnson have all found out they are on their way out of Loftus Road.

News Reporter: So there we have....
MCFC1880: Not quite yet, I have some more news. Maybe not in time for him to start, but certainly worth a place on the bench in the upcoming game against Barnsley I have made a signing, winger Albert Riera.
News Reporter: But MCFC, don't you consider it slightly odd that your squad is practically turning into a former Manchester City squad? With you having the likes of Riera, Onuoha, Dunne, Barton, Samaras and Wright-Phillips.
MCFC1880: I assure you and the fans of this great club that I'm not turning them into City 2.0, only 2 of them were signed by myself and I was given a list of all the free agents as I felt the need to freshen the squad and Albert was the player that stuck out for me.

An inspired performance from Shawn Wright-Phillips gave us all 3 points while Kevin Doyle finally got a QPR striker on the score sheet for a change after we very nearly gave this result away; Brian Murphy found himself in goal again after dropping Robert Green and Albert Riera started the game to compete in his QPR debut.

QPR 1-0 Charlton

A result and clean sheet against a very tough Charlton team that knocked us out of the Capital One Cup last month. Robert Green came back into the team due to Brian Murphy picking up a knock during the week in training so he was only fit enough to make the bench for this game. Hoilett with a fantastic finish to win this game.

During the international break I spent my time looking for a possible new goalkeeper that was younger than the two I currently have, after searching I scouted a player called Ismael Falcon from Spainish side, Hercules. Valued at ?2.1m, I looked into his current contract with his club and found that he had a minimum release fee of ?425,000. He came to the QPR training ground to sign a deal that would quadruple his current wages from ?2.4k to around ?10k a week.

Players wanting out
New vice captain announced

There were only 4 fixtures to contend with this month due to the international break, but that doesn't mean that it would be a quieter month for a club like QPR. Many of their stars are beginning to get restless as manager MCFC1880 looks to really enforce his changes and some players complaining that they weren't being played enough. The main players behind this latest revolt towards the manager were Jermaine Jenas, Richard Dunne and Alejandro Faurlin. Dunne and Faurlin had complaint at the lack of football they were getting at the club while Jenas was not impressed with the direction MCFC1880 was taking QPR.

View attachment 410154
Both players have found themselves frozen out and told they can leave QPR as MCFC continues his attempt to reduce the wage bill.

After a public announcement by Dunne about his unhappiness at the club, MCFC has stripped him from being vice captain of QPR and handed the position to footballing 'bad boy' Joey Barton.

As Christmas was approaching I was very busy trying to find new clubs for 3 of my players that I was after getting rid of due to poor performances and public displays against me and while all their contracts also expired in the summer I was trying to cash in before it was too late:

Alejandro Faurlin was offered out to clubs and it was Dinamo Moscow that snapped him up for ?1.1m, Richard Dunne is moving to a fellow Championship club, Birmingham City for ?29.5k and Jermaine Jenas will be leaving for Elland Road and Leeds United for ?220k.

Millwall 3-2 QPR

I actually felt abit robbed in this game, I felt that we created many chances and we just couldn't put them away, we could have very easily got a point from this.

So, after the games this month it felt us sitting 8th in the Championship table, 1 point outside the play-off places. At the half way mark I do say that we could be doing alot better but at the same time, I'm quite content at the moment but one or two signings are needed as many players have simply not performed for us this year.

Shawn Wright-Phillips and Clint Hill have both signed new deals for the club, SWP's being the more important as he has taken a ?20k a week wage drop.

Reading 3-1 QPR

After some great performances lately we were defeated we ease at the Madejski, however the one positive from the game being the return of Charlie Austin after 5 months of injury.

After this performance I was called into see the board as Tony Fernandes felt that I was not meeting the targets that had been set for me despite being 5 points off top spot and QPR sitting in 8th place, that shows just how tight the league is; I managed to persuade the board that I am the right man for the job and have been given a month to change their mind or else I'm out the door.

Georgios Samaras' loan was coming to an end however I have managed to extend his loan for a further 4 months. Two new signings also came through the Loftus Road doors as Anthony Stokes and Graeme Shinnie signed permanent deals, Stokes signing for ?675k from Celtic and Shinnie for ?900k from Inverness. This was a good result against Leeds however we were lucky after Varney scored very late on however it was ruled out for offside, however big news followed this game that pushed us up into the play-off places...

Going into February, as the season really begins to take shape there was some shocking news come out of Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers FC, where the board had an unfortunate announcement to make. 'Due to a lack of funds put in by the Venky owners we must now admit to everyone that Blackburn Rovers has been put into administration and will now have to face a 10 point deduction effective immediately.'
Blackburn's untimely news meant that after their hard work this season that found them sat on 50 points in 4th place, just 2 points behind 1st, 2nd and 3rd spot who all were on 52 points, Blackburn now find themselves in 12th place on 40 points thus pushing Queens Park Rangers into the play-off places, 6th place.

However the biggest news going into the Millwall match was the announcement by the QPR board that there is a 'very real chance' of going into administration. With rumours of ?107m debts in the Loftus Road club, things are looking concerning for the club, while the board has also yet to announce if they will be offering MCFC1880 a new contract before his expires in the summer, is there a chance he'll be looking for a new job in the summer?

QPR 3-2 Millwall

We have done it! And in a real battle of a match, Millwall picked up many yellow cards and even had a man sent off towards the end as they looked to disrupt the flow of the game. Stokes scored after just 30 seconds, Samaras got a goal to sign off his loan deal with the club while Danny Simpson provided what proved to be the winner and all was forgiven by his manager, who has been really critical of Simpson in recent months, as they embraced with the entire team with Simpson's cross flew into the net.
And McCarthy's first game in charge turned to disappointment as not only they lost, but they also lost out on the play-offs.

Leeds United were the most surprising of the 3 teams that went down on the final game of the season.

Two days after the end of the season and QPR's promotion, Tony Fernandes has told the club and the board that he is looking to step aside at QPR and allow someone else to take control over the penniless club but still no news on any possible contract for MCFC.

Meanwhile in the Premier League, QPR will not face Crystal Palace, Aston Villa or Cardiff as they have all been relegated from the Premier League while Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions but Chelsea beat them to win the FA Cup at Wembley and Brighton will join QPR and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League as they beat Reading at Wembley to get promoted to the Premier League.
