Question regarding editor (Seem to be unable to create a good player)

Hey guys!

Does anyone know how to create a player who can become better than Messi / Ronaldo etc.?

I've tried creating a player multiple times and testing, using genie scout to see.

I tried creating a player 14 year old, with PA being 200, most stats being 17-20 (some like long throws, corners being lower ) and if I put him with CA around 50, he will according to genie scout reach about 73% rating. Starting with CA 110 he reaches like 80% and CA at 190/200 he is at 87% (Messi is 91%).

How is this possible? And the stats don't seem to reach 20 as potential ones when he has 200/200.

Is it impossible to create a player that gets better than Messi when they get like 22, must they be better than messi from the beginning(I'm assuming hitting 200/200 in editor and wanted stats that itd be the same ingame)?

I thought maybe the progress is decided by team so I tried setting them in teams with top facilities ( barca ) and teams with no facilities ( whatever low tier ones ) and the potential best rating did not change.

Any ideas?

I want to create a player who will become a star slowly and has low rep, not instantly getting messi ratings when theyre 14 year old & being bought by manchester city or something for whatever amount of money after refusing my contracts.

Make their PA 200 or whatever, CA 50, and then only edit the important stats like Determination, Stamina, Consistency, Injury Proneness, etc. Don't set their technical to a specific value leave them at 0. Then pick a position, the game will then randomly generate the stats for the position you picked, but it will be low because of the CA.

Ambition is one of the "hidden stats" that actually influence player development so be sure to make it high if trying to create the new messi make it 20. This will make a huge impact and for sure will make him develop better.

I tried something like that, all technical left at 0, some physical ones at 20, some mental ones at high, now he genie says that he would only develop to 177/200

I don't see how its possible to create a player that would develop to be better than Messi, infact, I've never even seen any regen get that high.

Just because he has 200 PA it doesn't mean he will grow to be that good, it's all dependent on facilities, coaches, game time, injuries etc.

Well I did place them in barca, and then a small team, genie scout showed no difference in best rating.

Think if I gave him 20 ambition, 20 determination etc. yet leaves everything else to 0 and trained this guy with max facilities & 4-5 star coaches that he would develop better than what genie scout says?

Even if I put him to CA 200/200 he has worse ratings than Messi.

the ratings are based on current training from what i remember. i.e they change. if you set him on individual training that suits his role, over time the ratings will change and he will become as good as Messi if you train him properly.

Ambition, Professionalism and Determination affect the ability to hit PA I think, and injuries often stifle a players development too.

Place PA at -10.

Genie Scout isnt always correct btw,

Certainly 20 for ambition and professionalism, since they are the only two attributes that effect player development. Also, for any player to improve 150 ca points is a lot to ask for. Maybe give him a higher starting ca.

Its the Age, a player at 14.. is still restricted in the code of the game, create a player at 24, with the same figures and compare.

And 200 CA and 200 PA, doesnt equal 20 in every slot, ever.

CA - depends what league your in, and age. for 14 say 55-60.

Even if you create a play with all 20's at 200 ca and 200 pa. they drop rating over time regardless of age.
