questions about player tutoring

hi guys,
Ive signed a 38year old spanish striker, who has determination 20 and want him to tutor my young strikers lukaku and kadlec. but unfortunately I cant do that, since their names are not in the list. whats the problem about it? do I need to wait a bit, until the new guy has adapted to the team, or can he just not tutor my two strikers?
would be nice, if someone could help me

Maybe because your coach think those two players does not need tutor anymore to facilitate their development. Because tutoring were intended to improve the development of your young players.
