Hey guys. This is my first thread, so don't get mad if its in the wrong forum section :)

My question is: Is it possible to offer a non-playing contract to the player which is about to retire? I want to offer a coaching contract to Paolo Maldini in my Milan game so i was wondering if its possible.

Thanks in advance.

Nedo.

I did that and he said he'll definitely stay in the game after retirement. When he retired I couldn't see his profile anymore and also when i tried to offer him a coaching contract i didn't see that option.

When you offer him a contract instead of player click coach, *** man etc

yea man sometimes they just give you false info on what they wanna do after retirments. sometimes they tell you they're not gonna pursue a carreer in coaching but then they will. it's kinda weird, just gotta be lucky man. i think all the players that are originally in the database have set stats at the start of their carreer if they will be coaches. With regens maybe you can have some more influence. I found some old players, worth nothing in african countries and asian countries (while playing in 2030), signed them for my Barcelona Reserve team and for my smaller satalite clubs and sometimes i can convince them to become a coach. I've got this guy from Madagascar who actually became a great attack/defence coach lots of high stats
