Just a quick question: I have a right winger in my club who "can't" play as a right mid, but will he really perform worse when i play him at right mid? Because i would think when i give him the same role he will do just as good, even though my assistant-manager is panicing during the games because he isn't in the most efficient position.

Someone who knows more about this?

Should be ok, I usually ignore what the assistant says. Just take a look at match ratings. May be worth training him at right mid anyway, will play better once trained.

I have used Mitrovic (a striker) as a central defender before - in a few matches actually.

He may not have had all the defense attributes but he was one of my larger players with decent heading. He got high 6 match ratings and a couple of low 7s. Good enough for me in a crisis against weaker opponents!

he will be error prone most likely but you could do worse. my advice is if you want to play him at RM consistently, start training him at that position while playing him in games as well. he should become more comfortable with playing there fairly quickly
