Does editing a team in the Editor software, Effect a teams performance?

Tried a few modes with teams that i edited and they performed awfully. I was losing to average teams at best 2 or 3 - 0 constantly. So I figured I would try a mode season without editing the team's funds and so on, And I my teams performances were significantly better.

I used the same tactics with every team, Some tactics that i downloaded and i was recommended to by several friends.

why do any sort of editing at all? i think not cheating would solve the problem.

does anybody have the new 12.2.0 patch? if so can you tell me what you think about it please?
