Something that has always bothered me with FM is the fact that even if you finish your first season with 100% across multiple formations, when the new season starts it goes all the way back down, even without buying anyone.
I can understand at the very start, since new manager. However if you set a formation the previous manager used, I don't understand why it still goes below half. But oh well that's a feature I guess.
So yeah, what is the quickest way to learn new formations? From my understanding the best thing to do is setup your tactics from the beginning. I think setting up 2 is better, home and away tactic and all that.
Then you set your training slider to more match training and the main focus is tactics only. Also removing rest days before games during pre-season, also after if really need be.
Then check your pre-season friendlies and then add some more where you have free spaces. This way your players have more match training and training on the tactic.
Now with the general training, I'm not too sure. Since I've been told conflicting things. Some say to set it to tactics, while others say set it to what you want, like team cohesion. Then set that to high. But if you aren't going to be doing much general training anyway, due to more matches and more match training, does general training need to be set to tactics? Also does setting it to tactics even help?
This is what I usually go with:
In FM13 this got me to nearly full on two tactics before the first game of the season. However on FM14 it's barely half on each. Has anyone managed to get this to go up quicker?
Also is it possible to cheat this? I play FM in two ways, I like to play serious and do everything legit. But I also like to have saves where I just mess around with the in game editor and make dream teams and destroy teams. Both are fun. However using the official SI editor you cannot change familiarity. Is there a way to do so with anything else?
