Good day, I have been working on a new 442 and a new 433 (amc) tactic over the past couple of days with my Tottenham team and having great success with them! They are variants of the Might and Magic and the Swoop there it is but with a control possession style to it (not 200 passes etc, but possession in %)

Included is a fun Libero style tactic as well! You need to have a good Sw that can play there or retrain someone! Jan Vertonghen is very good there! The games using Libero finish like 2:0 or 3:0 at most but most of the time keep a clean sheet!

I am in a rush now so I will do a quick OP and upload the tactic as well! Feel free to test and post your results as you continue your game!

The tactics are in WINRAR, so please extract them!

Good luck and thank you!

Touchline Shouts: For all tactics:

  • Work ball into box
  • Pass into space
  • Get ball forward (442 and Libero)
  • Retain possession (Amc only)

Opposition Instructions for all tactics:

(works even better if you dont apply any instructions)
  • Assign assistant manager via the Team Policy screen
  • I suggest showing all their Attacking players to their weaker foots and closing down their main playmaker as well as hard tackling on their quicker strikers and wingers
  • You can also close down and tight mark the most uncomposed central defender and show him to his weaker foot

Match Results, League Tables & Fixtures: (all a mixture of tactics)

Match Prep:
  • High to Very High: teamwork during pre-season.
  • Low Defending Positioning during season
  • Low: Attacking Movement For extra goals

(the reason why you need to leave it low during the season (when it is at least 3/4 of the way fluid) is that it takes a substantial amount of the training percentage away from the player so player progression is not affected as much)

Please note, these are just for fun and are not guaranteed to bring you success! They are the tactics I am using at the moment and would like to get a little feedback from others :)

Enjoy and thank you!

Neil

Can you show the team instructions for the 4-4-2 please mate. My first season at Arsenal is coming to an end, so I'm wanting to incorporate a new tactic into the team. I prefer not to download tactics in this year's FM, I want to sort of create them myself with a few tweaks from your tactics.

Looks great, like always. I'm playing with Tottenham just like you, and I'm wondering which one to use for home and for away games? Should I use 4-3-3 for home and 4-4-2 for away games or maybe "swoop there it is" 4-3-3 DM? Which one is the best? Will probably test both 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 and post results.

I am using the 442 as is now, home and away, creating at least 5 ccc's per game ;)

can you post attribute requirements for 4-4-2 tactic?

Do you use one for the whole season or switch between them? If so, how and when?

switched all the time :) the one SS of fixtures where I never lost 1 game was mostly the Libero tactic!

the last couple of games of the season I had already won the league so played all my youngsters etc using the 442 tactic! using it now and unbeaten in all competitions mid October with a 4:2 win vs United in Eufa Super Cup and 2:0 in Charity Shield (5 ccc's) just played them now at OT and drew 2:2!

Most games 442! Libero worked really well too! mostly away!

Do you think this will work on Portsmouth? Kanu as DLP and bying a new poacher. Using LFC's winterupdate. Have you tried it with a lower league?
Should i use your 442 on every game or do you switch home and away?

cheers:wub:
