Won promotion from the second division in the first season on the last day.. looking to strengthen most areas.

Budget of around 30mil
 
Davie Selke and Andrei Ivan at st. Pione Sisto and Pavon at AM. Nedelceanu and Stark at cb/dm/m. Sviatchenko/Enzo Roco at cb. Gino Peruzzi rb. Jorge lb

I agree with MANUMAD about Selke, he's not too expensive either.
 
Top Flight CB will really help you a lot.
I'm not sure what formation you use, but one great offensive player, whether a striker or winger will also help you win games.

Defenders
Ex. Marc Bartra, Joel Matip, Inigo Martinez, Kostas Manolas, etc.

Forwards
Ex. Breel Embolo, Mauro Icardi, Paula Dybala, Anthony Martial, Gabriel Barbosa etc.

I would sign Rulli on a free to strengthen your GK position as well. Second choice would be Timo Horn for his release clause.
 
This is what I'm working with just now.. Not having much luck with consistency in tactics so been trying to find a solid one to go with.

Looking at signing Ayoze Perez if I can afford him.

Sold Nils Quaschner and Emil Forsberg for extra funds and had Demari Grey from the first season.

Can't seem to get any consistency whatsoever out of Selke, any recommendations on how to play him?

Well he is a defensive forward apparently yet he has pretty high pace. I play him as a complete forward (on support/attack depending on match) in a 4411 asymmetric with a treq or ss behind him and an IF on attacking duties to the left of him. I also sometimes have him change positions with the IF or the treq/ss.

Btw dont forget he's only 19 so he WILL be inconsistent at least for a season. In my Hoffenheim save I rotate him with Andrei Ivan and Martial (on loan) mainly.

I'll try and give this a go then. First season I found myself rotating between him and Poulssen because I couldn't get either of them consistently scoring. Probably down to my tactics though!
