I'm currently working an editing project. I'm going to re-create all of the major leagues using the Advanced Editor (quicker than using the regular one). I'm doing it in order to make a database where most of the major leagues will have a 0 foreigner rule. It is very easy to do this for England, Scotland, and France, since you can edit these competitions in the advanced editor without having to create new ones, but you have to re-create the rest of them (it's not that bad since they're already in the game, you don't have to re-create the pyramid in the same way you would with the regular editor).
Someone at SI showed me how to do it by re-creating the Italian leagues (Serie A, Serie B, the Italian Cup, and the Italian Super Cup) so that I could use it as a template. That file is located here: http://www.filefront.com/17714723/newitalyitalytest22.xml/
Note: I have had troubles downloading xml files from filefront. They don't let you download it as a new file, they only open up a new window that shows the text. When I copied and pasted the text and saved it, I couldn't load up the file. When I tried doing it using firefox instead of explorer, the text was slightly different and didn't begin with this tag: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16" ?> When I saved that I was successfully able to load it up. So use firefox I guess, or try getting rid of that tag (strange, because other .xml files that work begin with that tag).
Suggestions: he didn't add a transfer window, so I would add one (without one, transfers can happen at any time). Also, under league sorting rules he put match results between teams after goal differential and goals scored, when that should be first. Another thing is the fixture order: he put it on random (1,2,3 and 2,3,1) instead of straight (1,2,3 and 1,2,3). Lastly, there are no TV dates added for the Italian cup.
I copied this and made a file for Spain (Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante). Here's the link: http://www.filefront.com/17735901/spain.xml Both of these files have a 0 foreigner rule but it just takes a second to get rid of it (go to fixture rules under nation and get rid of it). I didn't add any TV dates for the cup and I'm not sure 100% sure if it'll work properly (the cup that is, the leagues are fine) since I had to deviate from his template when I made it.
I would like to do this for all of the major countries in Europe and South America (Brazil and Argentina at least). The advantage to having these files is that any time you want to edit a rule for one of the competitions you can do so very easily. To be honest I'm really surprised that no one else has tried to do this. I think this would be much more useful to the editing community than having every Sunday league in England available or the San Marino league 5 divisions down.
It took me about three hours to make it, but I had no idea what I was doing. I'm sure once I get the hang of it I'll be able to do it in 2. Anyway, my work week right now is about 60 hours, so it'll be a long time before I finish doing this, which is unfortunate because I'm not going to play FM11 until I have this database (I bought it like a week ago and am dying to play it). If we could get a few people working on this than we could get the major leagues done in no time. Every time I finish a league I will post it here. Italy and Spain are already done, and we don't have to do England, France, and Scotland. I'm going to try and do Holland this week and Portugal after that. I'll also probably do Greece, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and maybe a couple of others. Then I'll try Argentina, which should be really tricky. If anyone is interested in helping out, please post here. I think it'd be beneficial to everyone if we could get a good number of these files.

I just found out that there are a few more:
Germany has already been done and can be found here: http://community.sigames.com/showth...trainerforum.de-advanced-German-league-update
Brazil has also been created and can be found here: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/234937-RELEASE-MRT90-s-Brazilian-Real-Legues-for-FM11
These are extensively done all of the way down to the lowest levels, so they're much better than the Italy and Spain files I posted here.
Also, Ecuador can be found here (contains two divisions, but there are still some problems with it apparently): http://community.sigames.com/showth...ect-GOOOOL-South-amp-Central-American-Leagues
You can't access SI games without a user ID so here are the links to the downloads:
