I have been struggling with the idea of who to use for a save so I had the idea of trying to replicate teams tactics as much as I possibly could on football manager. For example I would do a season or maybe two with a team and make no signings (unless really really needed e.g. Injury crisis or replacements for player wanting to leave). Well first of all does anybody think this is a good idea and would anybody like to join me on this and we can post the tactics on here for people to use for their favourite teams? I would be looking to get at least one tactic uploaded per week maybe two if I have the time. I would also be taking requests if anybody wants them:)

i'm trying to create a real tactic

Nice, best of luck with that. I think I'm going to start off with a couple of English teams as the premier league is the league I know best and then I may move on to replicating some foreign teams tactics. Do you have any suggestions for me to start with in the premier league?

Well my main thought was doing tactics from this season as I would obviously have the correct players to fill the correct roles in the team, but I think I will actually make a start on that as it was obviously a very good and successful tactic. The main issue I think I'll have will be keeping such a great defensive record as no matter what I do in football manager, the only way I am usually not leaking goals is when I use a full press tactic but I'll give it a go :)

would you you suggest that I try it with chelsea themselves or do you reckon another team may have players more suited to how Chelsea used to play?

I have started on this tactic and I am having the exact problem that I thought I'd have, it just no where near as defensively solid as I'd expect it to be especially against bigger clubs. I think I have gotten most of the player roles right however there are a couple that I'm debating about. Should the didier drogba role be a plain simple target man or do you think he had a bit more to his game to be a complete forward or maybe a deep lying forward on attack may be more suitable? I think this is one downfall to the tactic aswell as I'm using Diego Costa in this position whereas he is a completely different player to drogba however I will look to change this in January. Ima positive not the lampard role is performing very very well by fabregas contributing with goals and assists

yeah try out a dlf-s or tm-s or cf-s, move into channels and pressing the defence to allow the inside forward(s) to cut inside i think

We'll the tactic was a bit on and off although once it did start to look a bit more promising, typically lots of injuries came through including key players which left me with having three first team subs (one of them was begovic) so that kinda ruined things however I have started to try a LVG man utd tactic and it's not impressing me too much. I would post a screenshot of my tactic but seeing as I'm not on my laptop I can't but it's a 4-2-3-1 formation:

De gea goalkeeper
darmian fb(s)---smalling limited cb(s)---rojo cb(c)---shaw fb(a)
schweinsteiger b2b(s)????---schneiderlin cm(d)
mata ap(a)---Rooney am(s)---depay if(a)
Martial cf(a)

What are your thoughts on these for starters? I'll post team and player instructions later when I've got my laptop with me. Thanks:)

Things really are just going from bad to worse not scoring enough goals and conceding too many goals. Could really do with some help
