So, atm, I'm managing Southampton, and have Balanta/Umtiti as my young, wonderkid defenders. However, what I need is an older defender who can pair up with them, and give me consistent/good performances, for atleast 3-4 years or more. I have Jose Fonte and Maya Yoshida, but they're a bit inconsistent. Any suggestions?

Around the pricerange of 10 Million or so would be suitable.. 3rd season, btw.

Doria is a popular pick this year. Young but maxes out fast and becomes a top defender for many years.

The popular choices are out actually.. Doria moved to Madrid (so they have the enviable combination of Doria+Balanta);; Plus, Dori isn't available for 10 Million;; I mean somebody along the likes of Rever, who can play at the top for a couple of years or so, until Umtiti and Balanta mature;; Rever unfortunately, is out because he is too old now, and won't get a work permit/

Chiellini might be available? I am a season ahead of you and he is transfer listed?

What level are you at? (E.g have you win the league, are you mid-table? etc etc.)

I've won the Capital One Cup in the first year, finished 4th in BPL. Capital One Cup and Premier League in the 2nd year, as well as reaching last 16 in Champions League, so reasonably pretty atm. Still problems wiht finances though - Made a lot of long term payment deals in order to push for players needed to win the BPL.

Around 10-15 Million is my budget for a Defender atm..

Having a look at Bellusci.. Has anyone played with Vlad Chiriches? How does he turn out?
