After Wenger retired, leaving my job at Hull City (city fan but felt I wanted a crack at winning the prem before 2012 comes out). I've not dealt with big players wage demands yet or more importantly the signing on fee. Phil Jones (still at Blackburn) wanted £5.3m signing on as well as £150,000 a week, do you guys think this is reasonable? I ran City on a tight budget and had Prem finishes of 10th & 8th with a cup final appearence so £5.3m just seems a little much.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near that as a signing on fee IMO.

ps. Hull....errggghhhh lol

fair play, tbh I thought it was miles too much. His agent wanted £2+ aswell .cheers though just wanted to make sure I wasn't being overly cautiousScyllaJoe - Up the Tigers! ;)

Have you tried negotiating with the agent? Usually when your a rich club players ask for ridiculous wages and then you have to negotiate to lower the wages

yeah I did the agent just seemed more interested in getting more for himself. As someone else said probably better options anyway

Phil Jones' agent is always one of the hardest to deal with for me, tried signing him a couple times and have to give up because of his demands. One time he wanted more than the transfer fee. ******.
