I am at the beginning of the second season with madrid and am recruiting plenty of ''can become a great whatever of liga'' for free so maybe its just my game or check it out, im in the end of september and ive already recruited three or four.

That's generally the way I sign players;
send out an army of scouts to scoure the globe, and if they tell me he has the potential to either be a leading, or good Premier Division player, then I snap him up.

either send scouts, or if you have time , do the scout work yourself... search the U-19 national teams or U-21 and you're bound to find some good players, or look for teams with a strong youth academy in mediocre nations(Belgium, Portugal, east europe).

Funny, take a good look in R. Madrid Youth Team, they already have many goods. It's the leading part you need. They are rare...
