Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson one of his top priorities is signing Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky, to solve the very problematic position. Roy is a big admirer of Konchesky after working with him for two and a half years.Konchesky's future at Fulham has been the subject of speculation all summer with Birmingham having one bid turned down eartlier this summer.
But new Fulham boss Mark Hughes wants to keep hold of the ex-Charlton player, but Konchesky wants to be reunited with his former boss at Liverpool.

oh god please this be true, would juist prove how much they have fallen behind with below average signings like this.

They let Aurelio go, who is better than Konchesky, same with Insua.
 
I thought that he wasn't allowed to sign any Fulham players this summer?

whats this got to do with this? Konchesky is an average player, has been his whole career, would love to no what United drawing with Fulham has to do with a thread about Liverpool and Konchesky.
 
Selling star players, buying no-name old guys. Yep! Good times at Anfield. We've become a junkyard for other clubs to offload their crappy players, and Woy seems content to sign anybody if the price is below £5m.
 
Konchesky is a pretty solid full-back, also woy knows how to get the best out of the lad so why not. Although he would be going back on his word of not taking anyone from Fulham but at the end of the day football is a dog eat dog world.

He's going to be unavailable for at least 50% of this season though niggling injuries - that's a given. We do need a first choice left back, but God - KONCHESKY ?

Isn't ANYONE going to fess up with some GOOD news about LFC, just for a change of pace I mean ? :(

Transfer rumours thread plz, SSN just thought, ohh Liverpool played Agger left back against City and think "ohh, Liverpool must be in the market for a left back". Decided to put two and two together likes must lazy hacks do and go "well they must be signing Paul Konchesky because Roy is former manager".

Well done SSN, very clever. Just lazy reporting.

And typical Alfie, not moderating his section properly.

You called him an average player (and Fulham is a good team imho), and he got to a European final last year. That's hardly average. He's played for England (Mind, only 2 caps, and friendlies to boot), so I guess you could call him pretty average because of that. But I personally think he's a pretty good player. But doesn't 'Pool have Wilson? Couldn't they use him a bit?
