From my experience, you need to be jammy to say the least to regularly produce good regens, even with decent standards of recruitment and youth training facilities. However, Fulham (who have they produced of note ?) turn them out year after year on my West Ham save. What about you lot ?.

Regens: Lottery or plot-erry.

...good one.

To be honest I don't get much luck with regens, I've never had a World Class regen come out of my own youth academy while worse teams with worse facilities always do. It seems to be fully down to luck (Though this isn't the only factor involved).

I havnt had any home produced wonderkids on fm11 yet but had 3 or 4 with liverpool on fm10.Took about 20 years to just get one though. I believe its mostly down to luck :)

Sadly enough, that's the best I could come up with after racking my brain for ten minutes..

My regens have usually been poor, but if you get regular team reports, you could find a gem ;)

Think there's something gratifying about getting one through your own set-up, especially when you're in their favoured personnel !. *

Have had one who could be a worldy if handled diligently. Is welsh, typically, so this has Giggs written all over it.

ive never really produced great regens either on my saves you see the likes of barcelona, Inter, utd etc buying regens for sums of up to say 20 million from teams who have produced them like West Ham and Stoke on my games and even some times some championship teams.

Usually I get one decent one per year. On Fm10, one time I had two really good ones and one was American (I was Sporting CP, so it was a pleasant surprise), so I was really excited, and then the computer crashed and I lost it. I was so ******. I re-loaded the save and got all ****** regens. So I decided that I'd re-load it 5 times and pick the best one. On the 5th try I got an absolutely world class regen. I've never gotten a really good one before, but this guy might be the best in the history of all regens. But I did a poor job on the training (wasted it all on attacking and shooting, which he was already almost on 20 for many of the attributes) and not nearly enough on aerobic, so he ended up with only 14 for pace...other than that he was pretty much perfect. 20 for a lot of important ratings, and all the important ones were 16 or above.

Point of the story is it's total luck. If you want to cheat, save right before they re-generate and keep loading til you get a good one. It's definitely cheating though and I felt really guilty about mine, even though I didn't think I was cheating.

It's luck; I saw FALKIRK get the best Scottish player ever in FM10.

I was Celtic, but I picked him up from Man City for 20 million quid.

So you're saying West Ham hasn't generated all the best players in your game, but sold them in their youth for nearly nothing? Strange, nothing like real life... ;)

I saw, in my game, Wolves got an amazing regen, and we at Villa got maybe one or two decent ones, and the rest were either championship quality or not quality at all.
