Is there anyway of knowing who the regen was regen'd from??

i.e. Beckham retires, does this then generate a regen and if so can you tell that he 'used' to be Beckham??

Regens apear from academies every season, they don't have any relation to retired players.

That used to happen a while back (like 10 years ago) with a few football manager games. I don't think it works like that anymore
