Mace Haven, a man of many talents, started his football career at the age of 14. He played for a local club hoping to break into the heights of American soccer but sadly had an accident that left him unable to play football after the 3 years he had spent in local football. 10 years later slowly but surely, Haven had completed his road to recovery and in the process lost his talents in playing the sport. But the decade he had spent watching his local team and football both on the national and international scale meant that he had involuntarily honed skills for something even more challenging. The manager of a team is not only the dictator of all that is right or wrong, but also a watcher, an intellectual behind the scenes, a father to the many lads who set foot on the pitch to play a game that is arguably the best sport on earth as we know it. It felt only right for Mace Haven, to give it a shot...
Media and Club alike have confirmed that Manchester United's Malcolm Glazer is in contact with Mace Haven. The Club confirmed that they are in talks with and analysing Mace Haven concerning a possible managerial take over from Sir Alex Ferguson. Though the scot more than enjoys his role as manager at the Red Devils, he has been looking for a chance to retire. The old timer has done more than necessary for Manchester United and beyond, deserving his knighthood with a hefty 29 trophies overhauled in his 22-year reign (Including 10 premier league wins), and will leave excessively large boots for his successor to fill. Mace Haven however, is tipped to be out-matched in his claim to the post at rumours arise that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is interested...
Out With the Old, In with the New The Board/ Directors of Manchester United have admitted that change is imminent in the club. The recent loss of Portuguese Winger Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentine Enthusiast Carlos Tevez meant that it is time for Machester United to play without a certain edge they had in previous years. Though many doubt Manchester United's credentials, the owners of the club feel that a new face at the top is just what Old Trafford is yearning for. They have stressed that they will consider all offers going public with a statement that showed that they were not looking to maintain previous success but to rebuild the team after what has been a succefful era. This twist has left Mace Haven back in the running for favourite at Manchester United...
Tuesday 9th of July 2008 An agreement has been reached between Mace Haven and David Gill and Mace Haven will officially take up the managerial post at Old Trafford tomorrow. In a post-contract celebration Mace Haven and Alex Ferguson go on a night out to discuss the past, present and future. The Sun and Daily Mail report that the relationship between the former and recent managers is brilliant and Ferguson was quoted at a restaurant later that evening:Meanwhile, atmosphere in the team is subdued as some of the squad strongly feel that now isn't the time to be taking risks and inducing revolutions in the team.I've been spending some time socialising with Ace and I think he'll do well for the club. He has a different approach, a more calculated and straight approach. He is a clever guy and he knows his limits so I think he'll be an interesting development in Manchester's ranks. He's quite the poor drinker though, couldn't even go more than 3 rounds before he took a bathroom break, *chuckle* and I'm about 3 times his age!

The interview brought to in detail by BBC News...It is thought that the boys of Old Trafford may have mixed reactions to the managers comments and evident self-confidence.United We Stand's Peter Smith: You stand here today unveiled as the new Manchester United manager. Mace Haven: Quite rightly so, I am honoured to have the chance to work here and hope to grab this chance with both hands.
Manchester United Radio's Lee Clifford: You have big boots to fill, considering you are taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson who has been astounding at Manchester, will you be able to continue the tradition of success?
Mace Haven: I'd like to think so, but it is never as easy as that. I intend to do my best and if the team do the same, the results will follow...
Daily Sport's Jordan Michael: What will your approach be to the tactical side of the game?
Mace Haven: Without giving too much away I'll be looking to dominate as much as possible.
talkSport's Lucy Brown What can we expect in the transfer market? Any Players in danger of losing their places?
Mace Haven: Not as such, but you have to remember that with change comes the need to adapt and players who are incapable of adapting to the style won't have much of a place on the squad... That's all for today
Bringing in the SeniorZ: Mace Haven has been reported to have tabled offers for argentine trio: Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Ever Banega. He seems to be making short work of his £100million budget (Season budget plus Ronaldo sale) and is set to completely change the face of Manchester United. The media hype around the contravestial appointment of Mace Haven remains at large as several media sources predict that Mr. Haven will break the Banks in order to revamp the Manchester United team. The Sun has also tipped Kuzszack, and Wes Brown as potential early exits in the process.
Lionel Messi was quoted later on today on the matter:Messi, arguably the best player in the world, is reported by the daily sport to have been offered a substantial £200k a week deal that will see him switch to Old Trafford. More news in progress...It is interesting. I obviously would like to stay here in Barcelona as it has become my home, but I'd love the chance to play in the English Premier League. It's a whole new level of football there...
Please Follow!Shock deals as Haven Saga Begins: BBC News as well as the majority of widespread media have confirmed on behalf of the club that Englishman Wes Brown, and Polish Stopper Tomasz Kuszczak are leaving the club. In what seemed to be deals kept discrete until completion, Wes Brown, English defender valued at £5.75m will join the likes of fellow Englishmen Garbriel Abonglahor and Ashley Young at Villa Park; Meanwhile Kuszczak will be joining the very team that stole United's european glory last season for £5m, valued currently at £3m. The transfers are likely to forever be known as bittersweet for a lot of fans as they say goodbye to hardworking faces and will hopefully say hello to even more. According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are now in possession of £112.5m to splash out on transfers. Mace Haven continues to stay secretive in naming his shortlist. Rumour is going that the next player to Manchester United may be Arsenal's talismatic Francesc Fabregas who has been disappointed with the lack of silverware at the emirates...
