Removing leagues

I’ve only played FM 12 and 13, in these games when we removen leagues from a saved game, there could occur an error. Is there a bug like that in FM 2016?

And, I'm gonna start FM 2016, do i need to install any updates beside the game, or do you recommend it without updates?

I've added and removed leagues from my main save without any issue.

I'd recommend the updates; while there's still some degree of issues with crosses by how fullbacks don't defend properly and sometimes keepers don't come out for them properly, they're much less frequent and bad as in the patchless version.
