Manchester United Change Ownership

malcolm-glazer.jpg

Days after the passing of Malcolm Glazer, his family have announced they intend to sell the club.

'Malcolm was the reason we were here. His passion for the club was what drove us forward, and without him, the project has no drive. We wish to move our investment on. We take this time to also thank Malcolm for all his hard work and commitment to the cause. We have had some great years here. We will miss our father and friend.'

With the club up for sale the question on everyone's lips, what will happen at Old Trafford next year - Sir Alex is retiring, David Gill leaving and with United yet to announce a successor it could be a very interesting couple of weeks.

Manchester United Bought By Consortium

A Manchester based Consortium has completed the purchase of Manchester united from the Glazer family, in a ?1.2bn deal.

As part of the sale United's crippling debts have been whipped out completely, giving United a much stronger financial standing and spending power.

The consortium is believed to consist of ex-players, major investors and people such as departing Sir Alex Ferguson, who will be stepping up as the Chairman and David Gill who will be a director at the club.

Young Manager Announced as United Manager

Manchester United have announced that young manager Feldman will be taking the reins of the club.

It is believed he is an up and coming manager, and a good friend of David Gill. The deal appears to be very risky, but with Ferguson in the background he will be sure to have plenty of advice should he require it.

I was very happy with my transfers dealings. I know I paid a bit over the odds for some players but they were well worth the extra coin in my opinion. I am trying to build a young, youthful pacey side.

Overview

All in all a good season. I enjoyed it tremendously and learnt a lot.

I was almost sacked around Christmas and was under immense pressure due to the poor form we were in, but Christmas arrivals of Koke & Costa from At. Madrid for a combined fee of ?57m sparked our upturn in fortunes leading us to the title!

Man. City were top of the League with 10 games to go, and a loss to Barcelona sparked an awful turn of form where they picked up a total of 4 points! I was sitting in 7th at the time, and with a great upturn of form I stormed all the way to the summit where I won the League!

Nani was my top goalscorer from Right-wing with 23 goals in all competitions.

Overview

Much easier season in terms of the League. Steamed it and had a the meanest defence with my tactic. However, didn't win much else this year, was disappointing not to maintain the FA Cup title. Big summer clear out ahead for me, Danny Welbeck whilst on loan to Tottenham (requested a transfer) got third top goalscorer and bettered all of my players, so I'm hoping to utilise him next season if he wants to stay.

Ross Barkley - ?7.25m - Everton
Martin Michal (Regen) - ?56k - Pribamn
Duje Tudor (Regen) - ?725k - Hajduk

Transfers Out

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa - ?19m - PSG
Robin van Persie -?4.8m - Tottenham
Koke - Real Madrid - ?28m
Wayne Rooney - Real Madrid - ?13m

Wayne Rooney requested a transfer twice, after once asking to stay, within a month, so I just wanted rid and no one wanted to buy him! Robin van Persie had become injury prone and a waste of wages. Mbiwa was just allowed to leave as he wasn't first choice and Koke wasn't playing enough games and I felt bad!

August Fixtures

CS: Tottenham 0-0 (p) Mufc

EPL: Mufc 3-0 Brighton
- Danny Welbeck (22', 51'), Gareth Bale (23')

EPL: Tottenham 1-2 Mufc
- Nicolas Nkoulou (67'), Diego Costa (88')

EPL: Mufc 0-1 Newcastle United
- None

August Table

Overview

Pleased with the off-season. Very happy with the squad. Rooney annoyed me beyond belief and couldn't wait to see the back of him! Very annoyed about the Newcastle result but we will bounce back.
